Fingerfood's Custom Effects

Well, after I started messing around with the Particle Editor, I thought, "Why not make some cool ones to release to the public?"

Let's just say I answered, "Yes" to that question.

I'm open to suggestions. So far all I'm planning is a modified Seismic Charge to become a fiery explosion, but that's just for now.
I believe this pack will contain an estimate of 10-20 effects.

I like them a lot. I have been working on a dark side force power and I was hoping for an effect where it looks like black energy is being sucked away.

I see you've discovered the joys of PE :D

PE can be a lot of fun and you can make cool things but it can also be a pain in the butt

I know this'll probably be hard but what I really, really, really need and haven't got a snowball's chance in hell of making (PE not work for me...:(...) is a nuclear explosion. Not too fancy, just a ground level, wide explosion, a column and a mushroom cloud at the top. I've tried a few times (failed), but for each effect I have to edit it with text, munge and have a look ingame...maybe with PE you'll have a better chance.

Well, I've made some new effects, but haven't got them ingame yet. I'll try to get some pics later, but how would you add effects to player models? What would you have to add to the .lua?

It's nothing you add to the .lua.

DamageStartPercent = 100.0
DamageStopPercent = 0.0
DamageEffect = "kas1_bonfire"
DamageAttachPoint = "hp_burn"

Well, I just released all the effects I've made, most of which got used in my GCW SM. I've never got PE to work, and quite a few are complete accidents, so if you want to do something with/use/modify them be my guest. I'm interested to see what someone could achieve with them with PE since I had to hex edit them to make them.

Oh, yes, Skyhammer. I'd love to try out your effects. :)

Anyway, about the mod. I have about 10 effects now varyig from explosions to sparkles to other [Diet Dr Pepper]. I plan on releasing them in about a week or two, and now that I got Sky's, I'll probably double the size. This will be Pack 1 since this is quite fun and I think I'll learn to become the community's effect man in time. Most of the effects are just different colored versions of existing effects, but I think they're still good.

Also, how would you edit a Droideka's shield color? The effect isn't working in PE so I think you'd have to manually edit it, but n my experience that doesn't work.

Color(90, 80, 222, 245);
SpecularColor(100, 80, 255);

Those two lines in the fx file 'droidekashield'. Edit as you wish. The colour there is purply blue rather than greeny blue.
