I haven't experienced this problem but it could be that that particular file was infected by another virus. Just wondering, you installed Verizon Security Suite right? This isn't just a popup from the internet telling you it was infected?

It could also be a false alarm. Go to the offical Shockwave site and install the player from there. If it still says the file has a virus, it most likely does not.

Just because a file is housing a virus doesn't mean it has all along. It's possible that Shockwave has been "burrowed into" if you will, by this virus of yours.

Well yes I do have Verizon Internet Security Suite and it showed on the report and scan page that it couldnt dissinfect the virus and the file that it infected has to be deleted but that file is indeed the installation of Shockwave 10 so I know that Shockwave didnt put it in some1 else put it in.
