Ok guys, do these 2 pics (identical model, left is shaded, right is textured decal activated)
Looks similar to a snowtrooper's chestplate too?

I mean, does that chestplate resemble a snowtrooper chestplate?

it resembles a snowtrooper chest plate but the whole plate doesn't bend with the extrusion (is it supposed to look like one?

Not quite. The whole torso plate usually raises up to the extrusion in the middle. Easy fix.

if you are attempting to make a snow trooper chestplate, then no, you still have work to do
see, the whole plate slants with the extrusion, it doesn't stick out

Well, ain't aimin for an exact replica. If the fact that the 'whole chestplate slants with it' is the only problem then I guess I am quite fine. Not makin a snowtrooper to the book after all.
Thnx guys

Looks good, but the pants look goofy. If it were I doing it, I'd either omit the change in color altogether or actually add the skirt.

Detail Pass One on a couple areas of my latest creation:
I'm pretty happy with the results; and all of the textures will be self-made.

@Coda - It looks pretty good, but i think the textures need a little bit more work. they look really blurry, and totally urealistic.
@Kinetos - That looks really awesome, how did you get that much detail out of such a bad picture? It showed basically nothing except for his hair and back

. Its a really good texture, i love it.
@Nasal - Wow. Looks like you put a lot of work into it. Can't wait to see it with a texture on it! was this made for the DMI?
MsHwiz - I really like the amount of detail you put into both the texture and the model! It looks really good. The one thing that does need fixing though, is the end texture which go's around the whole model, especially near the shoulder support thingy(can't remember the name

, is totally stretched which really needs to be fixed

I took stock models and kitbashed them, that's how.
And retextured a little.
EDIT: And I'm using different legs now, pic soon.

The UMP looks cool but you should reduce the detail, The same thing will most likely just happen as when I ported that asajj ventress model and the face vertex's all welded together. Besides, all that 3d detail wont be noticed in game.

Dude that model is BEAST

. Such detail derived from such a lowrez model.
Though from the ref pic, it seems that he doesn't need shoulder pads (he just wears a vest which you alrdy got down)
Also, a tip on the pants would be to steal the impofficer/luke's *skirt* (check either model's pelvis parts and you will see a free flowing cloth) and kitbash it on, cus the ref pic seems to follow that nicely. That is, if you haven't done that alrdy in the *new* pants
*btw, is that my DLT20 ur using?*
