Greetings members of Gametoast,
I started playing SWBF2 back when it came out and recently i started playing it again, but this time with mods.
I also play World of Warcraft, where there a lot of mods too.
So i would like to ask a few things:
1. Where are the Battlefront II textures stored (in which files).
2. What program should i use to extract them.
I was thinking of maybe mixing WoW textures with SWBF II textures and see what happens.
I also like the water used in BF II.
Those are my 2 favorite games and in the future maybe i would make mods for both of them.
Because ive seen videos and tutorials and it looks a lot of fun.
I can do WoW mods, but i will start learning how to do BF II mods too,but for now all i need help with are those 2 questions.
Thank you, your mods inspired me and sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.

Re: Importing and extracting SWBF2 textures-question
Welcome to Gametoast.
1) Textures are stored in most of the .lvl files used by the game, and the .lvl files can be found at and in the subfolders located at the directory Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC. It would be easier if you just download the SWBF2 mod tools and get the textures from the included assets, though.
2) The following will do the job, although I still recommend downloading the SWBF2 mod tools:

Anakin. It can extract any level, although it most often doesn't extract all textures.
DDS is a file format, like TarGA and JPeG.
DDS Plugin for GIMP
