City Watch 3.7

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Basically, this mod adds a new era to Mos Eisley called City Watch. It's only available in multiplayer because it won't start without at least one person on each team. The pre-game timer will continually repeat until one person is on each team. Once you have at least one Stormtrooper and one assassin, then the fun begins. The assassin tries to blend in with the other jawas and escape the police officer (Stormtrooper) for five minutes. They can also choose to kill the police officer with their "Fusion Incinerator." The officer has to look carefully at the AI patterns and see which ones are weird. However, if he kills an innocent jawa, he loses!

The jawas also have spears that are a 1 hit kill. I made this yesterday and finished it today. I'll probably add more maps soon. I also haven't tested this online but I'm pretty sure it'll work fine.

ALSO: remains of dead people. --nope.

I'll also try to get a server up sometime later this week for people to play on. Stay tuned!

Best played with more cops than jawas.

I'll probably be able to play it tomorrow from 4-7 PM PST.

I'll also probably revert the spawning system in Prop Hunt to this one. It's much better but takes more time to spawn. The best upside is that it actually works 100% of the time. I'll probably fix Prop Hunt tomorrow and begin work on another mod. The next mod will be similar to this one but a little different and based on a game mode in another game. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun as well! :D

And maybe when I start my next mod tomorrow I'll record the entire thing from start to finish. Then I can speed it up and have a super duper time lapse of how I make a mod. "ALL SECRETS, REVEALED, NEXT ON ABC NEWS."

Server is up!

EDIT: Server is down for today. I have lots of work to do.
Version 2.0 is out! More weapons, more units, more people running around, more FUN! I'll try to host a server tonight around 8PM PST.

I'll try to get some screenshots up soon as well.

EDIT: Screenshots are up!

Nice! Was playing this with friends all day!

Question: is it intended to have one assassin and multiple police? Or the other way around?

I think that one assassin and multiple police is the way to go. I personally haven't tested it for balance purposes, but I think that this would be the best way to do it.

Yes, but you won't be able to do much. All you can do is run around and test out the units. Next release I'll try not to forget to remove it from the single player instant action list.

It'll be City Watch. And it's UP!

One of these days I'm going to make a singleplayer and multiplayer compatible super awesome game mode.

EDIT: Server is down for the night. I'll probably put one up tomorrow at the same time if anyone wants to play.

I am a huge fan of this mod, it is one of my all time favorites! My only criticism is that you can push "Q" (or whatever your auto lock key may be) and it will reveal the spy if they are in the area. Other than that, this mod is perfect!

Wow, I totally missed this release!
Sounds pretty cool, will definitely try this out on the next lan.
...Can you maybe upload V2 somewhere else? I can download V1 but Google Drive refuses to let me download the new version.

Hey, I'm glad you like it! I might be able to fix that problem in a future release. This is a very large might. I will definitely look into it though. Unfortunately, even if I am able to remove the indicators the sound will still play if the spy is detected. This doesn't seem like that huge of a problem.

Okay, maybe I'll use Dropbox now. Mediafire just tried to give me a virus with a popup ad from a download button and Google Drive doesn't work for everyone.

maybe you could load a custom common lvl (or whatever lvl the image is stored in) with the image for the indicator completely transparent. Maybe do the same and add a silent sound (if possible).

EDIT: also you should put a server up sometime soon i still haven't played!

I tried to make the indicator transparent but it didn't work and I didn't feel like troubleshooting so I made everyone be able to be selected when Q is pressed. Now you can track your individual civilians wherever they go! I think this is a nice touch.

Version 2.1 is out! Changes include:
- No longer available in singleplayer!
- Mode localization is half done (still need to get the description working, but loading screen works)
- The police are now able to track the citizens individually

Check the first post for a download link.

I hope to have this added on more maps soon for version 3.

EDIT: Oh yeah I'll try to get a server up sometime tomorrow for the new version.
