If this happens on MP you may have too many mod maps in your addon folder (depending on what patch you have )
other than that it looks as tho you'll have to re-install

Can you be more precise, like have installed extra maps.If so and your running the 1.2 patch if you have access maps :ie 20+ your levels will not work.A soulution would be either install the 1.3 patch or just delete those maps you do not use.1.3 patch will allow excesive maps but is no good for online gaming as it never was general released just a Beta!!!

Hehe...
Well, i can't say anything else then that we need more info. You can't just post: "I have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My game doens't work!!!!!!!!!!!" cause nobody here can read your thoughts...
So, what kind of problem is it with the maps? Are they not loading, are they looking strange, or is it something else?

I half way think he is playing on the unpdated SWBF, and playing downloadable maps on it won't work unless you know what you're doing. If this guy ever comes back to this forum, and is playing on the unupdated version, just head over to
http://www.freewebs.com/brethren_of_the ... blemap.htm . I got instructions there as well as a detailed visual walkthru for download.

regarding the 20+ maps
i am running more then that already and works fine
it might just be the 1.2 patch but the original allows more maps to be played i guess

It is rather surprising to see how interesting the
original stuffs of a game like
Star Wars Battlefront may be...
So,
Meng', could you give me a
precise number of "
user-made" levels you've succeeded in getting to work
without SWBF 1.2 Patch, please ?

(Also, providing me their
exact names might help to figure out how this game can handle so many downloaded maps...)
PS : Welcome on
GameToast message-boards, by the way !...

In fact, none error message appears while you're trying to add more than twenty-five "
user-made" levels into the "
AddOn" folder or when you launch
Star Wars Battlefront... However, the game
automatically crash when you select one of the last maps appearing in the "
Instant Action" menu, and a dialog box tells you that it can't read a file named "
mission.lvl"...
Also, the fact you're not actually encountering problems with your "un-patched"
SWBF copy may be due to the fact you've not downloaded "resources requiring" maps, based on brand-new meshes or other stuffs like that...

Rogue Clones: First Assault has a few modifications than the one(s) which is automaticly used by maps without a modified Side...

well, i finally saw wut happens when u have a lot of maps on. It justs shut it down. I think when i was around 35 maps, and played a new map then it just shut down. So i guess 20 is a good number to keep it at so u do not encounter any problmes.
But, i have ran into another problme
usually when im downloading a larger sized map, the downloading just stops a 2/3 of the way done. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem as well and if there is a solution???

LuMeng, would you mind telling me on which web-sites you usually encounter such a problem while attempting to download "
user-made" levels for
Star Wars Battlefront ?

(
FileFront,
PCGameMods, etc...)

As you must know, there are
several hosting-places in the "
Free Public Servers!" section you can see while you wish to get a certain file... So, if I were you, I would try to download datas from
FileFront using
one of the last servers appearing in that list,
Meng'...

Also, you should choose the servers you want to download stuffs from according to
their names... Indeed, if you live in one of Europe's Countries, you could
fully exploit
FileFront "hosting-places" whose labels contain "
European", for sample...
