How to change SWBF2's language

Post by PizzatheHutt »

How to change Star Wars Battlefront II language .

I know a lot of people have had problems with the localization of some mods in their languages.
Here is a little tutorial to fix that:
In Star Wars Battlefront II/Install, there is a file called "launcher .xml".

Open it with a text editor.
Search "lang"
You will find this:

'/lang 3'

Replace the number (for me, its 3 because I'm French) by another:

Here are some examples:

0:English
1:Spanish
3:French

Then it will look like that:

'/lang 0'

(or another number )

Then close the "launcher" file and run the game.
It will have a different language !

Note: the voice-overs will be in your original language, only the text will be changed .

ALTHOUGH THIS TUTORIAL WILL SURELY WORK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE
TO YOUR COMPUTER, YOU OR YOUR ASTROMECH DROID  .

Even though I own the U.S. English version of the game, this is a great find which I'm sure other people could definitely put to use!

This is a pretty useful piece of info. Could this be placed onto the FAQ or something?
