00M-9 was deactivated on Naboo in EP1. However there are hundreds of 00M units.

Try 00M-87 or something... :)

Just a suggestion.

I wasn't going to include OOM-9, being that the entire force on Hypori seemed made up of SBD's and Grievous. However, as I was researching for this map, I came across this, from Wikipedia
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_droi ... Wars#OOM-9 )

"Now under jurisdiction of Dooku, Nute was ordered to capture Kashyyyk as a sign of Separatist power. He reactivated OOM-9 to lead the Trade Federation army. OOM-9's smashing victory against the Wookiees prompted the Trade Federation to make the droid their general.
General OOM-9's first battle in the Clone Wars was the Battle of Geonosis. He commanded the army from the Spire, but he was forced to retreat aboard a Trade Federation Battleship to escape when the Clones advanced too close. OOM-9 next served the CIS in the Attack on Muunilist. He fought well, but was almost destroyed by General Obi-Wan Kenobi while attempting to protect San Hill, Chairman of the Intergalactic Banking Clan. General OOM-9's final battle was that of Hypori, where he was shot down from his AAT Tank by a Republic [ARC Trooper] LAAT Gunship, putting General Grievous in more direct control of the droid army."

Since Grievous would be dealing with the Jedi (and there is no way I would model a Grievous!), I needed someone that would be leading part of the Hypori droid army against a small band of Republic survivors... this map sort of explains the demise of the famous OOM-9... rather unintentionally, actually, but cool.

NOTE: The HYPORI: LAST STAND map will not include AAT tanks. Only like 2 Spider walkers. The Republic gets no vehicles, since this map takes place before the ARC Troopers arrive.

Superb, I didn't know 00M-9 lead the CIS for so long... thought he was done in EP1.

Thanks for the referance.

HYPORI: LAST STAND's only vehicle is now operational. Time to mop up some Republic scum, I should say!

I just tested one of the heroes... not finalized at all, but here is the idea.

OOM-9 should be easier to "hero-ize."

Once I got the mechanics of the modding done, I will start with the terrain itself.

don't know if you know this.

But I have 00M-9 as a hero in my Weapon Expansion "CW"

I just made a droid with the yellow markings and put the msh in count dooku's model call line.

Funny thing is, I forgot to take off the cape and lightsabre on my first attempt... so 00M-9 was a master of the jedi arts for the first few weeks of his career :D

ROFLMAO!!!! That's Hilarious!!

I've seen 00M-9 as the hero on another map also. I believe it was Naboo:ThePhantomMenace, but I'm not possitive.

It was one where you could play as Gungans

Ha ha!

Thanks for telling me that, though. I opened up the Count's .odf and found the code for the cape (I thought the cape was just part of the mesh, like the ARC gear is). I will try out the cape on my "clone-with-lightsaber" hero to see if that improves him. For the final concept I am going back and forth between a retextured Luke with cape or clone with cape (or maybe brown ARC gear). Relyt Tsueg typically didn't wear the clone helmet... but he didn't have a bad haircut like Luke!

School's been busy, so this map hasn't been my top priority lately. But to keep interest in HYPORI: LAST STAND, I decided to post the weapon arrangements for the classes.

CIS-----

Super Battle Droid
Standard weapons

REP-----

Clone Trooper
Standard weapons

Clone Medic
Boltcaster
pistol
thermal detonators
power-up dispenser

Clone Engineer
EMP launcher
pistol
fusion cutter
mine dispenser

Clone Sniper
Sniper rifle
pistol
thermal detonators
haywire grenades

Heavy Clone Trooper
Torpedo launcher
pistol
haywire grenades
crack grenades

------------------------------------

Although the CIS only gets SBD's, they get an advantage in Spawn Points and in numbers (the ratio tips in the CIS favor).
So, what do you think? Any suggestions for weapon placement, unit names, etc? Or anything else, for that matter?

I was looking at the .odf files for my units when listing the weapons. I couldn't remember what the "crack grenade" was called in the game, so I went off the odf name for the weapon.

Should the engineer have the EMP Launcher, or should I make a blue lazer Shotgun for him? I have been going back and forth on this.

shotgun would be cooler :P

I agree with that choice... :)

Well then, shotgun it is. Basically, my plans for the shotgun would be just the Dark Trooper's gun with blue lasers...

The Republic class structure is going to end up more like Battlefield and Battlefront 2 then the classes in Battlefront 1.

I finally downloaded that SWBF 2 beta and have been playing it for the last few days. Class structure for the Republic on HYPORI: LAST STAND will be similar to the SWBF 2 Republic.

However, trigonometry and preparing my Eagle Court of Honor have taken up almost all of my time, so I haven't been able to test many of the changes I have made to the map. This map is by no means coming out before SWBF 2...

...but it is coming!
