Unidentifiable Missing Texture (Hoth Shield Generator)
As the subject title states, I can't seem to find the .tga file that corresponds to snow components of the Hoth shield generator.
I've opened up the .msh file in Notepad to see which .tga files I needed and founded them all. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's probably hoth_01.tga (or whatever the base Hoth texture is called). Hoth props use a lot of the textures from the world folder and not the mesh folder. I haven't checked it out, but you can always just search the mesh to see what's missing.

But Mav is right, that looks like it's probably a pile of snow, in which case you'd need one of the snow textures from the wolrd folder.
Hmmm.....off-topic, but it came into my mind as I was looking at those quotes. I've always assumed a mesh and a MSH were the same thing, but now I'm not so sure. Are they?

hoth_main1.tga to be exact. I don't like why it's there, it just limits the model's use to outdoors.
Fiodis: I think so, but that depends how the word-user uses it.

Yes, just like a targa file and a .tga file are the same thing. Dot-msh is just the standard suffix.Fiodis wrote:Hmmm.....off-topic, but it came into my mind as I was looking at those quotes. I've always assumed a mesh and a MSH were the same thing, but now I'm not so sure. Are they?
No, it doesn't limit it. Just give it a transparent texture and enable transparency for that part of the model, and it's like it was never there.Null_1138 wrote:I don't like why it's there, it just limits the model's use to outdoors.
