Geonosis: Attack of the Clones in progress.

I've been working on this for a while now, but i guess i should really reveal it before somebody else does.
My new map is still based on Geonosis (best planet eva) anywho, its set just at the time of attack of the clones, basically its roughly what you see on the movie, except you play it.
This is a CW only map.
What i have planned.
. 10 Command posts. 4 belong to the republic, 6 to the CIS.
. 150 units per side.
. An overwatch of the entire battle, belongs to the republic, (really good view up there trust me.)
. Two ATTES, gonna bulk up there health, Two LAATs, Gonna really bulk up there health! for the republic, might add more, but im not sure of which vehicle.
. Six Hailfire Droids, Four Spiderdroids, Again, not sure if i should add more or not.
. A Tight canyon for those who like close combat / stealth.
. Various detail eg. destroyed walkers and rubble will be added after the first release.
Feel free to give advise and suggestions
OK it has been released after ages trying to upload it but well here it is, next release i will tweak the sides various vehicles and infantry .

Yea cool. the Ultimate battlefront mod team is bussy on geonosis as well.Tough, this will probably be more like the movie, with technounion ships and big flats. So let's hope both maps can be unique.

You might wanna post some screens . Otherwise it might get locked. Sounds harsh , but we cant have loads of map announcements/wip's where nothing is shown.

As long you mappers think beyond what the movies showed, then you'll do fine.
For one thing, don't have a map where there's only a few droidekas. Give them good numbers....as high as Super Battle Droids.

Actually, there were a lot more SBD than dekas

Actually, there were a lot more SBD than dekas
In terms of what the movies right? George nerfed SBDs insteading of making them super. Fact.
I wouldn't be surprised in the Special Editions of Episode 1 to 3, LucasFilm adds more droidekas because obviously George lacked time to animate others unique droids in great numbers.

I need somebody to release a full spire, as an OBG, i struggle to put all the pieces together, usually ending up with gaps and stuff

well there are many battles in the clone wars that i like very much but.....zero hour off the clone wars is the best by far gunships swooping down clone troopers clashes whit droids massive tanks and ships out over open fields.......*a tear of joy* ......and i have nothing againts sever versions of zero hour for like that nattle there was many areas and many plases....good luck and may the mod tools be be whit you

Dude...you're talking in terms of "More Droidekas is always better!" You clearly don't know much about cinematography, or those two wonderful words "Dramatic Effect". No offense here man, but the idea of Droidekas is that you only ever see them in small numbers. Each individual is meant to pretty darn tough to break down, with the shield and rapid fire. If you recall ep1, Obi-Wan and Qui Gon have to retreat rather than fight two Droidekas. They are shown in small numbers in order to build them up as powerful, so one individual Droideka looks like something you need to find another way around, rather than go through. Having loads of them would minimise this effect, and aesthetically look rubbish. Personally, I don't think they fit in at all to an 'open battlefield' situation (more suited to Tantive-IV style maps) but I'll put up with them. Having laods of them, however, would just suck.

im not gonna have more droidekas then sbds.
also ive just dloaded the bf1 assets, so the spire is in
Things to do before first release ,
. Make it playable, (finish scripting, cps.)
. add cis vehicles.
also i want to add the geo fighter but i have no clue on how to add it from the bf1 tools?!?
i might add also a few easter eggs. Such as the jedi fighter that obi leaves on geo, it would surely make the canyons look alot better
