ARC SIDES! 96% Complete! 5/6/06 - Clone Commando Pulled

GOOD NEWS!
I am making two customized sides for Battlefront 2.
CIS - 98% Complete
REP - 90% Complete
I am currently trying to fix both. Only one thing remains to be done:
- I need an electrostaff and a cape for Magna, and I THINK Penguin is letting me use his.

By the way, special thanks to Schizo for the "Repeater" (Modified ARC "Scatter" Rifle) and "Flamethrower" (Modified ARC Flamethrower)
And Vyse for making the Clone Commando, and allowing me to use it!
EDIT 5/6/06:
I have unfortunatly had to pull the Clone Commando. I am currently sending to Vyse for tech support. It will not read any skin besides the Episode 2 troopers, and if I give the original .tga a custom name, it crashes the side.

YAY! Pics!
NOTE: The Commando & Sniper are being re-textured. I typed the wrong skin for the commando, and the sniper is going to be yellow. And the engineer will be green! With a Red Rocketeer & a Blue Rifleman!

lol, cool. i'm still deciding if i will release my magna guard. if i do it will most likly be in a .lvl file to replace normal units in the normal maps

Nice screenshots BF2_MAster. The Republic stuff does kinda look like Schizo's in Aldeeran. But u metioned that already.

The ARC guy has red shoulders thats cool but....Can you change the blue places into red too?

The droid is way to yellow! You need to make burnmarks and etc.
The republic soldiers looks great though!

No man, The red shoulder-thing is cool on the blue plates, it's a contrast thing. I say that ARC sniper is delicious the way he is. There's something wrong with the droid though, the yellow doens't feel right.

I know I will tone down the yellow, but I won't be adding more/less yellow, just changing it's color.
I have already changed the Engineer and Sniper. Sniper is yellow, and may have a yellow pauldron and the the Engineer will have a green pauldron.
I am trying to fix the skins.

I like your commando(er) but, I would suggest getting a new skin for it.

I know. For some reason, it reads the original ep2 trooper's skin, not the commando's skin. I am going
to try something that should work. I should have this out by Friday, but don't quote me on this.

If I remember right the clone commando uses the same name as the ep2 clones texture name. So you will have to hex edit it if you want to have the commando mesh and the ep2 mesh.

I think I fixed the commando. I haven't gotten to checking, because the last edit to the side, made it crash. I think it may have to do with me making it require 0 points for CIS guys.
DEBATE: Should the Droid Commando require points to unlock? I was thinking of having him cheap, and unlockable easily. Also, to balance it, I would make the ARC Engineer require points. If this debate is agreed:
Engineer Class = 3 Points
Officer Class = 6 Points
Special Class = 8 Points
I also would like to let everyone know that the SBD will be almost 100% the same, except it would be the Rocketeer class. The BD is now in the normal class. The Sniper has Droideka88's special Geo droid skin too.
I've also given the Scatter Rifle a different number as a weapon.

Okay, I am having a lot of trouble getting my side to work, I am trying to start out simple, by just changing the weapons on the jet trooper. The unit will show up in the game, but with all the same weapons as it normally would have, not my changes.
The side doc from the mod tools isn't helping me any on this, and I have looked through the everything you need to know thread, and can't find any help.
If you know any answers, please post them here.
