I guess it wouldn't be too bad... Providing they didn't leave half-a-dozen leftover features from BF2 in it. :P
Zero is good for what it is; a +4 year old engine. I think that they'll probably do a major revamp on it to remove all of the old, depreciated, and Star Wars specific content that's built into it.
Of course that probably won't change some of the core stuff like the way that models are stored(.msh's wrapped in .tga's) ODF's and the like.

Something I really hope to see is better AI, specifically automatic hint node and path generation. My idea is that the paths and nodes would be placed based on the size of world objects and terrain features, like water and cliffs.
Now that would be cool. 8)
But, I'm just talkin'. I've got no idea what they're up to.

I'm really exited for this game. I think if they do it right this could be an incredible game. Let's just hope they do it right. One thing I'll be really interested in, however, will be the campaign. The fact that you can co-op the campaign with up to 4 people (That's what I understood, not really sure and too lazy to check) seems like it will be a LOT funner than doing it in single player. I hope they release a demo tho so that you can see if the game is good or not. I'll be watching this. :D

I've not only begun thinking of a star wars mod, but I already know what we should do first! Turn the balrog into a rancor. =D

And since theres rag doll physics in the engine, force can be all that more powerful.

I was thinking and I realized that adding Spartans to Helm's Deep instead of Rohan guys would be epic. 300 vs 10,000 :D

First gameplay footage for LOTR: conquest: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35357.html. According to GT the game's coming out for PC. I hope Pandemic fixes up the framerate before the game is released.

Looks a little to next-gen for my machine. I might have to be out on this one. It does look incredibly fun and visually stunning to boot though.

I quote a comment from that youtube vid:
Guys just got some lastest info on this Next-Gen game!!! About Online. The two game types so far are a game type called Ringbearer. Just like Oddball in Halo series. 1 person is Frodo and has the ring his team defends him and the enemy has to kill him. If enemy kills him he becomes Frodo and so so but the Frodo just like in the movies can turn invisible for a short time!!!
The second is called Fellowship is far more exciting. Four players on Xbox live an be Aragon,Legolas,Gimli and Gandalf.
Next the four players battle through a dungeon full of enemys and wave after wave after wave. Then in further levels it gets harder and harder ect. They are the two game modes announced so far! More info coming soon!!!
Sounds friggin awesome. :D

So I might be buying it too. I just updated my ram and video card, and my PC can now run Bioshock really well. So as long as it's not more of a resource hog I'll be good to go.

... But only if you can mod the game. If you can't, then it's gonna be a rental on a console.

Graphics don't look too demanding, maybe higher than Half Life 2 on full which I can run fine with about 50 fps..

Also, the wide battlefields and large scale armies will take off a few fps >.<

And you have to factor in the fact that the videos and pictures they show us are doubtless on the very highest possible game settings.

By the way, it looks like from one of the screens that the cps are large stone torches. Nothing major, but I just thought that I'd point it out.
