At the moment the good General has a modified choke. It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too powerful. He can destroy any enemy in seconds. Some droids don't
even do the choke animation. They just explode. I'll probably keep the choke for the first release and let the public decide whether it should remain.

the cockpit would need to be modeled. Thanks for those shots though. I was going to dig out my dvd to make sure the ship placement was right, which
it wasn't.

About smoke, in one of the swbf2 trailers, there is a crashing capital ship. Would it be a stunt to get more people exited about the game, or was it taken out?

i think you shouldnt have a whole space battle, just hav the two cap ships, faces like the pics above, and have a map on the top of the cis cruiser, like all the fighting with basically take place ont he top of the cruiser, barely and starfighters, and you could either spawn in the rep. cruiser and jump down to the cis cruiser, or you could spawn at a capture point on the cis cruisers roof. you have the cis turrets firing at the on coming rep troopers, and at the far end of the cis cruiser there could be a way down into the cruiser and the cruiser's bridge. that IMO is wat this map should be. i dont know it is possible to do all this, but i think it would be cool to see if you could do it! but nevertheless your map looks really good right now!

with control zones, it's possible. i'll test out some of my latest revisions and then we'll see. At this moment CIS troops can't leave the hanger. but that will change

He will be. Right now, the focus is getting the republic troops to do what i want. The CIS will be much easier as defenders to make.

Can you give grievous his cape? he had it in space battle of coruscant in ep3, so that would be really cool

hmm can i make a sugestion?? use the 501st jet troopers and the non masked tiin... i know that it will be different of the cartoon but the masked tiin seems a little weird.. and the all white clones are so.... uncool.. just a thought thoguh

Sorry no. Not unless someone wants to do it for me. Regarding nonmasked tiin and 501 clones. I may keep tiin unmasked. It depends. Same with white clones. Once a beta is ready, I'll let the feedback decide.
In an attempt to get the troops to spawn and fall, I removed the republic's first cp and watched them fall. Pilots nearly die. But bots fall THROUGH the bridge. I'm going to move the ship down and try again. Jettroopers do make it though with little or no health lost. I just want more of them to survive.
Once that's done, I'll add a cp on top of the cis ship for grievous and co.
How would everyone feel about not flying ships and just having a full scale battle?

I think that you should take out the pilots for the Republic and to replace them add other Jet troopers, but different types such as JetTrooper with Rocket Launcher, Medic, Assault? On the Republic side don't have any ships but have some for the CIS to balance it out a little more. So... the Cis can fly out and shoot at all the little Jet Troopers.

too many classes may kill the game. and jet troopers currently have marine weapons. I might do something like give a trooper the chain gun, some detpacks and award missile launcher. I dunno yet.

but your replacing a class not adding, if that makes any difference
but if you do decide to make another jet troop class it would be better not to give him a big chain gun.
1- its huge and it would look funny
2- in the huge open area it would be hard to use sense its close range.
But det packs sound good. Maybe he could have a mortar launcher, detpacks, time bombs, and some kind of powerful laser type weapon, if you make a second class.
Anyways this map is looking awsome!

a little update:
I've temporarily set the two cps in each ship to no one. That does mean no ships at all. This is temporary until I can get jettroopers to land and fight the cis without me using the follow me button. I'm probably not going to have troops fall from the ship. Instead they'll spawn on the cis ship and have the damaged republic ship looming above.

battle droid, if i remember correctly there was just the normal battledriod present during that chapter in the clone wars cartoon. so stick with the normal battle droid for accuracy..

Good News and bad news.
First the good.
Also added back the cp's on the ships. The jetpacks seem to have forced the troops to have a nice battle on top of the ship. a very nice one, while the auto turrets blast and the ships take off.
Now the bad news. Grievous crashes the game. Apparently his animations can't be found. I've copied the cis side perfectly three times and nothing's changed. I may need to scrap grievous for another character.
