hmm I am going to check on that I know they were running in the mountains though

but they were running on Dantooine

EDIT: They were running on a rocky mountain trail that did have trees but not really thick

ok, then we could put the refugee camp at the base of a hill or cliff or something with few trees then. i dunno, i just always visualized it with cover of some sort behind it.

I made another one of my quick maps to try to get our ideas down so here are some pictures and if anyone wants the map to look at it better let me know!

I hope you're going to reskin those tents. Tell em what they should look like and I might be able to do them ffor you. The Tattooine scale tent just doesn't fit. Good design though :)

This project is going to be for SWBF2, all these maps are, are testers for ideas, but thanks for the offer maybe you could do some skinning/reskinning for the "official maps" when the mod tools arrive

excellent ideas, i really like the barriers!

things that should be changed: (for the final version, they don't really matter for this test version)
1 that weird blackness on the ground...whats up with that?
2 the tusken tents, obviously
3 the texture on the ground needs to be more grasslike
4 landed republic ships?
5 the trees oughta be more...exotic. maybe the ones from felucia? (not so much the bubble ones tho)

great job, the overall idea is just right. just some polishing for the final version, and of course adding in the new classes.

I'm glad you like it the blackness on the ground is my computer's fault it is on some of the custom maps and not on others does anyone know how to fix it?

You need a detail texture when you place texture on the map.

Yeah its working now

I worked on the map and the "yuuzhan vong" now have a CIS Lander for their landed ship

It is just a thought but maybe we could have some Yuuzhan Vong spawn in the camp as locals to represent the ones in the camp during the battle

cool it might be nice for the rep to have a couple of small landed ships, say lambda shuttle size

i like the vong locals idea. maybe have them sneaking in from the trees behind the camp?

I am going to try to make this map very book accurate since it is easy to do that

The new republic would need some small ships which were shuttles in the books they could be only props except making the forward guns a turret (like in Thule Moon) but having one flyable (remember Elegos took one over the battlefield to attack the Yuuzhan Vong)

I do think they should be coming from the trees

its Elegos, and yeah i remember that part. it'd be nice if we could get a flyable shuttle, but it might be better to wait for the experts to figure that out. landed shuttles with turrets sounds great. and d'you mean thule moon from the clone wars game?

cool. i think the battle on the floating city (tafanda bay?) would make a good first map. no vehicles involved. have jedi, rep troopers, vong, and chazrach, to keep it simple. it makes for a great starting point imo. & the combination of catwalks/trees sounds like a fun level to play to me.
