So I spent all night working on a texture for the stock storm trooper using gimp, the texture is an EA imperial shock trooper, after having watched jedimoose's videos, almost all of my attempts in munging to get my texture to work had all ended in failure. can anyone help munge the texture to the stock stormtrooper? if you give me your email I can send you the picture.

Make sure you uncheck "RLE Compression" when exporting.

That option was nowhere to be seen when I was saving/exporting using gimp.

It shows up when you choose "Save As" instead of the "Save" option.

You do NOT want to Save As... you need to use the Export As... option

When you're editing an existing .tga file in GIMP and choose the "Save As" option, the RLE Compression option should show up. That's how it has always been, unless the feature has been moved around in recent versions of GIMP for whatever reason.

In GIMP 2.7ish, they changed it so Save and Save As save the XCF project file, and Export and Export As export the image as any other normal format such as TGA or PNG. With that said, yes, the option for RLE Compression is still in the TGA export dialog.

Well, thanks for your help guys, I've got it working now, it's all in the exports. :D

EDIT
Question, if I want the sniper to fire like a blaster rifle how would I do it? I'm currently playing around with the .odf files and no luck at all lol.

Double posting is against the RULES; please EDIT your post instead -Staff
