Gimp Dialogs missing?

They went missing see...

Does anybody know how to fix this. I've tried and I can't seem to fix it.

Well they don't show up on mine either.

They show up if you start a new image.

Yeah, they appear when you start an image because otherwise, there would be problems where you might be using the tool on nothing. It would cause errors, lots of 'em.

Is there a Dialogs menu when you click File?

Yes. But it doesn't have opacity

If you are trying to add and alpha channel so things are transparent it is under Layers/ Transparency
Options are Add Alhpa Channel and Color to Alhpa as well as some other things I haven't played with yet.

Ok I re-downloaded it and still nothing. Does anyone know anyway to fix this?

Open preferences under the file tab you will get this window

Press the Reset Saved windows blah blah button
