I managed to get a wii last night, someone had hid one behind some xvbox 360 boxes, yes! We played it for over 8 hours just messing with zelda and the free sports game it came with, as far as a social game system you can play with friends and really enjoy this thing smokes my xbox 360 easily. Also whoever said online that the graphics will suck on this wii is insane. zelda looks better then oblivion to me, and the game play is 49554 times more fun , funny and immersive. If you have $300 to blow, get a wii , you will not regret it (besides if you manage to get one you can always resell it for $400 or more on ebay LOL)

A friend of mine managed to get one from a website. I was too late, they were sold out in no-time.
I've been waiting for too long now I'm getting more and more pissed off

I don't have a clue yet about when I'll get one, no-one seems to know.

Hey Emperor, where do you live that you haven't been able to find a Wii yet? Are you in North America, or are you in Europe?

I live in Winnipeg Canada, and we've got tonnes of wii's (finally) here. I was lucky enough to snag mine 1 week after they debuted, then there was a drought for 2-3 weeks while retailers kept stockpiling what systems they could get their hands on prior to the big Christmas rush. What has been difficult to find here though are the wii accessories. I was finally able to get my hands on a Nunchuck controller just a few days ago, to go along with Wii play, so now I can finally do 2 person boxing - my kids should be thanking me that I'm only taking my aggressions out on their virtual selves now :twisted:

Now that Wii play has been released, and Nintendo is no longer hoarding wii-motes, there should soon be an abundance of Wii accessories on the market, and along with that quite a few more systems I would imagine.

In Japan, apparently Nintendo has now also partnered with SNK/Neo Geo for Virtual Console titles, so hopefully that trickles down to the rest of the world - who doesn't love those 2d classic fighting games??

When you are finally able to get a Wii, you won't be disappointed at all, There's so much out there for it (Gamecube Games, Wii Games, and a huge library of Virtual Console games from the NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, and Turbografx 16), you definitely won't be wondering what to do.
While there aren't a tonne of games that are just for the wii, the ones that are out are challenging, and make very good use of the hardware, and it isn't too "gimmicky". Add to all of this the functionality that Nintendo has added with the various Wii channels, and you'll be hard pressed to find a machine with as much value for this price.

They can't help it either, it isn't really their fault. There's no stores here where they have Wii's
There's this site I ordered a Wii on that says its gonna be 2-3 weeks. For some reason, I kinda doubt that but who knows I reserved the bloody thing on 5 stores now though, 3 internet stores, 1 toy store and a Music store called Music store , one of them is bound to have one soon you'd think.

@Razorpig - We're still sold out in all the stores here in Northern Ontario, but we've got all of the cool accessories and stuff. It's pretty neat browsing through it all.

The Wiimotes and Nunchucks are just as hard to find as the system! it crazy! Also it's near impossible to find Wii points card.

^ Really? Hm, that sucks. I haven't seen any points cards, but theres tons of 'Motes and 'Chucks here.

Game and Watch was indeed a classic. Even thought most of us didn't kno who it was, it is (I think) the first Nintendo creation besides DK.

I'm kind of glad Ice Climbers were removed because their AI had some flaws in terms one being controlled and the other being an AI. I fone got the killed, you were like to get killed next.

No. It's not true. It's a persistent rumor that's been around for months and been debunked as many times. Visit http://www.smashboards.com for news on characters and other Brawl-related topics.

And don't post unsubstantiated rumors, especially when you don't have a source. That's the first sign that something is just a rumor.

I lucked out and eb games received 3 controllers in the pack thing called wiiplay , its has a controller and a game that's actually lots of fun to play BUT they failed to tell me the nunchuck wasnt included ....so for $49 per box , buying 3 of them,and 2 games for $49 each my buddies and I (4 of us) were unable to play any games after spending over $200 on controllers and games. I like the wii but the controller rape is not cool. The system is hard to get and i know its cuz it rocks but the controllers are like crack, people are climbing over each other to get them things. haha. Best system ive ever played on fo sho. just sad that we cant play our uber new games withouth the missing nunchucks, time to go scour the net for some haha. If your still playing xbox 360 cash it in now and get your money while you can, wii smokes it in my opinion!

@guru - It's a pretty good deal. A game + controller = $50 A controller is like $40 here, and a game is like $50 here, so... And, I've only got one 'chuck...
