Battlefront Chronicles

Presenting my new mod...
Battlefront Chronicles is a large mod that will add new maps, new sides, new campaign missions, and maybe more to Battlefront II. Although I still enjoy SWBF2 quite a bit, the stock maps and sides have inevitably become a little dull after six years. With this in mind, I've set out to create a mod that will refresh the game for myself and (I hope) others. The content of the mod is primarily drawn from the events of the Star Wars films, although there is a fair amount of content from the EU as well, most of which is inspired by classic Star Wars video games. The maps will include my interpretations of several stock worlds, such as Geonosis and Hoth, along with a number of entirely new worlds, such as Boz Pity and Saleucami.
Now for everyone's favorite part of WIP topics: screenshots!
I've been bouncing around ideas for this mod for over a year now, and this summer I finally buckled down and started to seriously develop it. Over the last few weeks I've been getting really anxious to begin showing my work, so I hope you like what you see! Expect more information soon!

Posting so I remember to follow this.
I liiiiiiike the canyon.
And the fog over the rocks in the last shot has an awesome graveyard feel to it.

This looks like a good idea, but how do you plan on modifying the sides to make them less dull?

Looks interesting, the designs are certainly nice. What kind of side modifications are you planning on adding? The movies kind of have a 1 shot one kill mentality for all units which isn't much fun without a decent cover system. Also, when you said "Change SWBFII" did you by any chance also mean ground-air or ground-space maps? I love toying with the concept and have even gotten a ground-air map working but they are a massive pain to build and very difficult to balance due to the inherent ability of aircraft to dominate all things on two (or more) legs.

Hmm.... since you're taking content from the classic Star Wars games does that mean that maps from like say the first Rogue Squadron game will be in there?

If it's anything good as your Aldurda maps, I'm sure this mod will be excellent! I'll be checking on this thread constantly. I can't wait until it comes out! I wish you the best of luck!

These are looking good, I also like any map that uses something I made
So the ATAP is working good with the changed animations? Not as obvious of a stutter step.
Keep it up!

I am anxiously awaiting progress on this mod, looks amazing. Just one thing, make sure to remember to mod the :bdroid2:. Oftentimes, people will mod every side except that one and, contrary to popular belief, people actually do play as the droids.

I still think Beggar's Canyon would be better as a night map, but it's your choice.
Everything looks really good. I can't really tell how well Saleucami will play from the screenshot, but hopefully these are worthy of a permanent spot in my addon folder.
