High Ping

First of all, here are my specs:
Dell Dimension 4700
Intel P4 2.8Ghz
1GB DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon X300
I did a speed test for two places:

(The first is closest to me, and the second is pretty far away)
As you can see, both are pretty good... except for my ping.
Anyways, I recently got Battlefield 2 and so I installed it, started it up, joined a server, waited like 10 minutes for the program to "optimize shaders for my computer's settings" or something like that, and then when the server had loaded, it froze. I had to manually restart the computer (by holding the button for 5 seconds).
I had nothing open except for Xfire - I had even closed MSN.
Today, after my Dad had opened the ports that Battlefield 2 uses (thanks to a nifty little feature on our router), I tried again. Same problem, except this time I was able to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of it instead of restarting the computer.
Both times, every server had a ping over 100, usually from 150-400.
I'm guessing that's my problem. I have the same problem with America's Army, except I'm usually able to play for a few minutes before the game freezes. I can play SWBF2 and Jedi Academy fine...
Also, I can play Battlefield 2 offline (single-player) fine.
Any help?
