Free downloads of original C&C's, tiberians and red alert

I just came across this through a video on youtube. EA is offering these full games, probably as a teaser to the new C&C that's soon coming out, as free downloads. I thought there would be quite a few here who would like this.
If the rumors are right, this should work fine on Windows XP and Vista, not on Windows 7. There supposedly is a fan-made patch that fixes this though. I haven't found a link to it yet though. If anyone does come across one, please post it so that I can edit it in here.
