on firefox web browser some sites have little logos by there address for example google has a little coloured "G". im sure some people will no what i mean. well it would be good if GT had one of them things. i know it is just a small thing but it would make it look that little bit more advanced and cool!
Just a Thought

and shrunk down to the appropriate size, resolution and colours it would look...?
This is why most favicons are simple affairs. Do a Google as to Favicon requirements then make your submissions.

i will try to make one, though you need grafix expert dragon93 to do it. would it be easier if it was in .PNG? cause that has better quality than jpg.
Thanks Guru 4 taking onboard my idea though!

needs to be jpg or gif I think, then put into an .ico
sizes need to be like 8x8, 16x16 32x32 and 64x64. ((maybe 128x128))
then in the .html file you need to add the favicon line for your icon

How to Add a Favicon:
1. Find/create a 16x16 image. The image format must be .PNG, .GIF, or .ICO
2. Upload it.
1. In the <HEAD> tags of your website, place:
Code: Select all
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="http://www.domain.com/favicon.png">
NOTE: Sometimes, the favicon takes a while to show up, so it does not show at first. Other times, it shows right away. I'm not sure why... So don't ask me...
Got it, guys?

If you made the white a different colour it would be cool!

Well I figured people wouldn't see the white when it's in the browser, but OK. I guess people'll see it if they have GT favourited. Anyways, what colour?

Transparent. Make just the 'G' show up.

Not bad. Looks a tad rough.
Didn't Gametoast have a bit back? I know i've seen this topic before. Also IE 7 gets the favicons too

i think that the favicon would need to have a design that has GT on it instead of just G
GT = GameToast
G = Gametoast
