Visual Munge not munging [Solved]

Post by theultimat »

Hello again everyone!

I've decided to start modding again, but I've run into a problem with Visual Munge apparently not working. I'm not sure what the problem is, so I'm hoping some of you may know.

Basically, I can create a map fine. I can edit it in ZE and do all those fun things. However, when it comes to running VM in the build folder, it does something weird. I can hit munge and it still pops up the "All done..." message box, but I noticed in the text area showing the progression of the process that it says "\AMD was unexpected at this time." in amongst the rest of the information. I have never seen this before, so I'm hoping someone could explain to me what this means.

Another thing is that VM doesn't create any files or folders, despite saying that it has. There is no LVL_PC folder in data_***, and the addon folder is empty. What's even weirder is that when I run SWBFII, it appears in the map list (although it isn't localised). When I try and play it I get the FATAL mission.lvl error, which is understandable seeing as it doesn't exist.

So that's my problem. If anyone has any idea what the problem might be, could you lend a hand?

Many thanks.

EDIT:
Here's a picture of the VM window, just so you know what I'm talking about:

Are you running Vista or Windows 7? That looks like the problem that the vistamungefix corrects.

Yes sir, I'm on Windows 7 (64). I've just downloaded the fix and it worked! Many thanks for all your help and fast reply. Guess I should have looked in the FAQ harder. Thanks again!
