Rampage: Total Destruction review

My guess is a lot of you are to young to remember the original Rampage. George, Ralph, and Lizzie jumping around all awkward, terrible controls, etc. And yet the game rocked. Something about being King Kong size and creating total destruction and mayhem was awesome. Then came the PS1/N64 sequel, which improved on the concept. Now we have Total Destruction. Everything you ever wanted in Rampage.
Gameplay
What can I say. You're a monster who can trash buildings, eat people, throw cars. It's great. It's so incredibly simple, yet so fun. Eating different bonus items also gives your monster different reactions. They smile, say "Yummy!", fart, burp, and fart. It's halarious. It's quite simple mayhem that's fun for an hour or two here and there. It also helps that there are 30 characters to unlock.
Multiplayer
It just shines here. That's all I can say. Four guys tearing apart a city while also beating each other up is awesome. My favorite part has to be eating opponents when they die. (They shrink back to human form and walk around)
Sound
The worst area. The sounds aren't bad, but there's a reaaaaaally loud announcer, and there is no volume control for him. The music fits the game well, and other sound fx are fine.
Features
Each character an get four upgrades, and have unique stats. There are also a total of 30 characters to unlock, plus it includes the first two games.
Bottom Line
It's cheap... like 20 dollars US. It's mad fun and it's even better with four guys. Rent it for sure, and if I were you, I'd buy it.
Final Rating (keep in mind this is a budget title, so I give it a bit higher rating since the cost was lower) 3.85/5
