Ok Ive got another question Im having trouble setting up Shadow regions and I have used search and the FAQ. So I go in ZE and set up a region and call it shadow_region set the brightness up and save and munge. When I go ingame I go to were the region is and my player becomes dark but the area is still the brightness of the map.

Your shadow regions are working exactly as they should. Remember that search is only a button-click away, and a quick review of the search for "shadow regions" would have given you this answer (the very first hit!):
