Off Topic:
You can either buy XSI 5.0 or wait for a plugin for the XSI Mod tools which is freeware. We have no date on if or when the plugin will be released though.

Ok Im gonna post to give you props mini...And to all you people that thought i died, well you'll have to put up with me a bit more. ;) As always mini your modeling skillz do not disapoint. I actuly considered modeling this ship for swbf1 but that was before the animation gap had been filled (thanks in many ways to you) but its better in your hands ;). Severail b-wings have been made for other game engines...if you wish I can get you texures..ether to use as templet or to use entirly if you wish...lemmy know mate.

And may the force be with you always....

thats a landing craft not a lambda shuttle like the tyderium. did you make that? the wings are off and those things are large enough to deploy a batallion of troops and a couple of at-st's. also, is it animated, or was it in the assets somewhere?

Ha, no. I no absolutely nothing about modelling and I mean nothing. I just grabbed the .MSH model from the World assets and replaced the Theta-Class shuttle. It was just a quick slapdash edit. It has no take-off/landing animations, the wings don't move, no engine glow, and the collision geometry is off (mostly because it uses the Theta collision geometry; like I said, it was a quick edit). It's also too big to take off out of the Imperial hangar too. It's too tall. I lowered the take off height but it's still too tall. I had to slowly inch my way out of the hangar until I was able to clear the shield. Another bug, which I was having a bit of fun with, was that the shuttle can basically land anywhere, despite the landing regions I have set in the hangars only. Kinda funny though; I was having fun jumping around off the Star Destroyer's bridge. :P

Yeah, I realize it's not a Lambda-Class shuttle. Though, I do think the Sentinel-Class is more suited to carrying a group of troops and landing in an enemy hangar to assault their internal systems. The Lambda is more about transportation than fighting, whereas the Sentinel is mainly for both. But, do as you wish; I just did that as an experiment. And to my surprise it worked... not the way it should be, but it worked nonetheless.

well then ill just make one cause that one is WAY too small and looks off with the wings and the textures on the cockpit. if i even spent the time to animate it id be spending more time flipping half the polies if i convert it via bconstructor and also the model gets all messed up.

Newly finished texture for minilogoguy's B-wing:

Pretty good model, though I had to make him redo part of the UV mapping because he's lazy :P[/img]

Sweet! Good to hear the B-Wing is textured now. Maybe I'll be done converting maps when it's done and can put it into my Dreighton Triangle space map.

I think you should make the cockpit transparent. And it would be cool if in the thrust thingys you gave it a burnt look. Other than taht, it looks really good :)

I think he's still debating whether or not he wants to model the inside of the cockpit. I'm sure if he decides to that he'll make it transparent.

It's not worth doing a Transparent cockpit. In BF2 you can't see the pilot inside. They removed that feature.

yeah but i thought i might add it just cause so many people deemed it "cool" and heres a lesson for the kids, make sure your ship is to scale cause i made it too big and now i gotta redo the skeleton and animations and re-export, yay!
