Extruding a linear curve [Solved]

When I draw a linear how do I extrude it?
I think we went over this before already, but here's a couple of videos showing 2 ways to do it:
Extrude curve along axis
Curves to Mesh
Using the "Curves to Mesh" method will give you more options to play around with such as capping the ends.
