It's just a
game. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but at the end of the day, that's all it is. You're not going to look back on 2008 and say, "Darnit, what a great year this could've been if only I could've gotten SSBB two months earlier."
That being said, I'm a little disappointed, but I can live without this video game for another couple of months.

I know, I was exaggerating. But seeing as how this was the only thing I was looking forward to this holiday season it's pretty disappointing. Christmas has lost almost all of its childhood nostalgia and there aren't any new movies or events that are coming up. Basically this was all I had to look forward to so this holiday season is going to be fairly boring for me. Nothing new or exciting. Ultimately what it comes down to is that I won't have anything to entertain myself with until February. This is like my Halo 3.

Wow. that does suck. For the both of ya. Well same here, but i got a few other games that are on my radar.
Anyways it's offical. Feb 10th. From Sakurai himself. But on the bright side Brawl will be playable at E for All so buy your tickets!!!
IGN was able to uncover the reason for the delay. the need to fix bugs and prevent crashing. Nintendo's reason: "perfect" it.

So Challenger, you live in North Carolina and SS, you live in Egypt/Rock of Gibraltar?
Fusion do good?
Looks like the Metroid Level is Norfair, and from the picture it looks a little like Ridley's arena in Super Metroid.

There are several gameplay videos up on YouTube if you wanna watch them. I'm too lazy to provide links but you won't have a hard time finding them yourselves.

I just thought I'd answer the question to the poll. Ganondorf is confirmed to be in the game by some Zelda developer, Eiji Aonuma himself I believe. He mentioned in an interview that his team had done the models for Ganondorf, Zelda, Link (obviously, since it's the TP model) and Sheik. It doesn't mean they're playable characters (though Sheik probably is), since bosses have been confirmed, but you can still probably play as them if you have Action Replay - you could play as Giga Bowser in SSBM, remember?
I've seen all the videos on Youtube, and my only disappointment is this: on the Fire Emblem level - I believe it's called castle siege - instead of the entire level breaking apart so that you fall down into another part of the castle, the background changes to some murky brown colour. What's more, the characters don't even fall! It looks like they just stand on an invisible platform until the background changes into another part of the level. Ridiculous! If they need another delay to fix that major unfinished level, I'll happily give it to them.

I noticed that too. Hopefully they'll change it. Also, I posted a link to the interview you were talking about back a page or two. If Ganondorf is in the game then I think his Final Smash should be transforming into Ganon for a brief period of time, similar to Giga Bowser. The question is
which Ganon should he turn into?

Probably the one from TP, since they're taking the character models from it.

:/ Shame, I didn't like the look of TP Ganon.
I'd prefer OoT Ganon with a big touchup.

I'd prefer the cartoon Ganon.
Most worthless Final Smash ever!

No, the Legend of Zelda cartoon that was airing in '89 form of Ganon (not Faces of Evil)

Yeah. right. lol
Anyways i was watching the latest Brawl vids at IGN and personal entrances are back for SSB. And Final Smash is harder than just grabbing the Smash ball.

Yes you have to hit the smash ball a few times. It shouldn't be terribly difficult unless you're a slow character. And "woot" for the return of personal entrances!
I'd prefer them to use the OOT Ganon with a few touch-ups as well. I remember being disappointed by how TP Ganon looked because I had been expecting an updated version of the OOT Ganon. Plus TP Ganon is too big.

For those of you wondering about the update, the final boss of Mother 3 was an evil pig.
The name of the stage makes sense now, doesn't it?

I don't mind the corny name. I'm just relieved that there's a big stage.
