Stealth Vs. Shield

Ok, im working on a space map. The rebel K-wing has stealth capabilities similar to that of an F-22 or SU-47 (being that missiles cannot sucessfuly track and kill the aircraft) (how he managed to make these abilities idk...) and the Impire has a TIE-Defender fitted with a sheild.


Now i have tested them against AI, and they seem about balanced (except the TIE-Defender is a fighter-interceptor and the K-wing is a gunship) but AI arent always accurate


Do you think the Stealth balances out the Sheild, and vice-versa?

I think Stealth vs. Shield is very balanced, because I was testing something like that out. For one soldier I gave him a rifle and a shield and for the other I gave him a rifle and stealth. I tested it out 5 times and I got the same amount of kills and deaths for both soldiers.

I think he means the ability in general, as in a huge, with a Turbolaser armed vessel can hide itself from missiles and stuff.

I am making the map and script function work, however, i am clueless how to make a side and can never munge them right, my freind however, has a zeroeditor that dosent work right (or so he says) but he makes some wicked cool units. So we decided to make a joint mod. (=FGR= Scorpion if u know him)





And by stealth i dont mean "invisible" i mean, immune to homing missiles ( like some jets in real life)

Imo that's more for the beta testers to say. I can't expect myself to answer that question without actually playing the map and seeing how balanced they are.
