Wow! All great skins, really. This is set out to be an uber-awesome-pwnage Glamour skins topic!
But that has been said every time. I couldn't resist.
The blue and white Keller looks better and more canon to me BTW.

hm. to me it looks like you just desaturated and then colorized the default skin. It does look alright with the map but perhaps add more variety? (ie: dark green in areas, camo, etc.) And the green lines (markings) you made look rather painty as it appears they were drawn with the paint brush. I suggest using the airbrush tool for doing markings like this and then using the blend tool possibly.

its nice to have constructive criticism and yes, that's exactly what i did, but unfortunatly, i'm not so good at GIMP yet, so it's really just playing around with some of the tools and i thought i should post one of my better skins to see what feedback i would get. i think i just need to get to know the GIMP tools a little, because at the moment an airbrush sounds like something you use to get knots out your hair

GIMP help also fails on my computer, so directions to a tutorial would be useful.

hehe thats okay we all start out as beginners

just a word of advice if you want it though,

the airbrush is to the right of the eraser. play around with the values to get different consistencies. Also, just a random note i find helpful, to select specific sections of a skin and change color, lighting, etc. i suggest using the bezier tool (2 spaces up from the eraser) to make points around a section then right click>select>from paths.

I that an older version of the program?
And to get back to glamour skins, that engineer seems to fit well with the environment, but I like the sky better.

Just a concept I had:
Basically was looking at SW: TOR pics, saw an Old Republic walker, decided to make the ATTE have somewhat of the same scheme. Just a concept, mind you. Meant to fire blue lasers from all cannons.

It's the picture's fault. But I assure you, there is detail there. It's far from painted over. I'll get another angle to show it.
Actually, there was little detail there in the first place, here:

Nope. It was actually inspired by the scheme that the walker shown in this wallpaper. The Old Republic went far back and the Republic had walkers like this (look to the left). Pic:
According to SWTOR, these walkers were six-legged and used on the front lines, much like the ATTE's during the Clone Wars. I'm assuming that they are making a connection that the Clone Army used similar equipment based on layouts of the older Republic stuff.

I actually am Ok with it. Really.
What's that written on the back of his helmet, though? Are are those just random lines? If so, I'd suggest removing them.

That's an awesome skin!
Although, it has a little much going on. I'd recommend removing one of the Republic symbols, preferably the one on the chest, as that one has no opacity and doesn't look to great.

The symbol on the chest really doesn't look like it should be there in my opinion. The rest is pretty good though. Shoulders are fine. Overall the skin is good, despite the Bendu symbol which I think should go. It really distracts me from the rest of the skin.
