Commanding Troopers

Here's something I've not seen asked before, I hope it's a good question:
Is there a way to make it so that a player can command more bots? Currently it appears that only two will obey your commands at any one time, and I'm thinking of being able to command like 10-15 bots, so that in larger maps with lots of bots, players can actually be commanders of squads, or, depending on whether this can be changed, commanding even larger numbers of troops.
Is this possible or would this involve making a whole new game?

I haven't seen anything in the tools yet that would do this, but it would be good... it's really annoying to see a bot pilot stood next to a broken droid and he's not repairing it or not giving out ammo packs. Hopefully BF2 will improve bot commands.

As you said, command system should be improved... It seems not to exist !...

lol, yeah

and if SWBF2 DOESNT have the commands.... then WE are gonna MAKE THEM :twisted: I've wondered why the Ai's didnt follow my, but I think I once got 3 or 4 with me, LOL!!!

well it better be improved. Only able to make a large amount of bots hold posistion just suck.

In the first preview video, bots seemed not to be very effective...

I can normally command a fair group to follow, though some are pretty ignorant - they r focused on some important task overriding my command, maybe it also depends on the map. Perfect Dark was better in a way. I think they should make it so that 1 person can be a battlefield commander - allocate the necessary units and give instructions like defend X command post or 5 rocketeers to X command post and fire at those ships! Maybe you would have to protect the battlefield commander!!
Another thing... I wanna c a point based customization - where u can choose a character, select their armor/weapons/ammo/other features/etc and voila... bounty hunter X or grenade spammer Harry.

lol, this is not a Strategic game (yet

) hm... you mention to swich classes fast, so do you want it like Joint Operations? lol - THATS a genius game, you have some places, where you can change classes, weapons, and get ammo

so should we try to make some kind of Class Droid? lol
I wouldnt play this game, if there was SO much commanding - well, at least not THAT much
we ALL like the idea, but then it wouldnt be a First Person Shooter Game

then they HAD to add "Strategic" to the game, AND:
some people wouldnt call this a SWBF2, but they would say, that it isnt like SWBF1

lol, so I like, that they continue this

and DOESNT call it a Expansion
C ya - and think about it...
