I went shooping earlier today, and went to a Target, where a small crowd of employees were centered around the PS3 stand. When the guy left, allowing me to see what he was playing, I saw the PS3!! OMG!! The PS3 had MotoStorm (off-road) in as a demo disk, and I loaded up a level to play. While it loaded, I noticed that R2 and L2 were now like the xbox's shoulder-fire buttons, pressure sensitive. When it loaded, and did this fly-by view of the starting line, the PS3 was slowing down and stuttering. If this is supposed to be the Xbox 360 killer, why is it having graphic problems? I understand that the PS3 I played earlier today might be a pre-production version, but come on.

When it gave me the opportunity to drive, it counted me down, blew the starting horn, and the whole world slowed down to about 15 frames per second. It was like that until turn one where everyone thinned out and the game ran a bit smoother. Oncec I flew myself off the cliff, and was far enough back so the game had an easier time, the graphics were pretty sweet!! the dammage was pretty extensive, ,and the driver's head bobbed around I smacked a cliff wall. Pretty cool, but it didn't make a good first impression.

I hope the production versions don't run like that one did.

I really don't think the production versions will be that horrible. I have a feeling that that one had been through many people using it or something. In-store systems are never in that good of quality. But, you never know!

I'm confused? Don't PS fans hate Nintendo fans? Or is it now PS fans hate Xbox fans?
Either way I'm not getting a PS3 to darn expense, plus there are too few 1st party titles.

Hmm... This doesn't sound good for Sony. A PS3 alone makes no profit for Sony, and if they have the "xbox 360 freezes" fiasco, there is going to be a huge hole in their pockets.

Might i add, Nintendo is a very good strategist . At the expense of good grpahics, Nintendo makes profit (or loses very little) per Wii compared to the PS3 and Xbox360. Also after two days of the launch of PS3, the limited quanity of PS3s will be striped from the stores making room for a larger quantity of Wiis at a cheaper price. High-five for the Wii

so u've played a ps3? so what?....to post this comment, i am using a machine that far out runs anything Sony could release...bragging that u've played a ps3 is almost as bad as me bragging i lost my innocence at 13....it's not brag-worthy, it's sick!

I did the same thing lol, I went to Target and someone was playing some basketball game, I didn't get to try it out, but I saw it, It's sweet!

Well... not necessarily, but they're off to a bad start. Their only profit is software not hardware. The thing is that the PS3 can't die because Sony can't die, though I'm not too sure how well their BluRay venture is going . I mean its beautiful, but at a hefty price.

A while back, a limited amount of preorders came out and the next day people put them on eBay and sold the preorder for quite a sum, just like with the Xbox last year. That's why I even don't a normal guy like you or me could get a PS3 unless you got a preorder and not to mention have been waiting outside for the store to open. Speaking of which, people are crazy during the holidays in New York (especially on sales), just imagine the bull running in PamplonaSpain except in the store's entrance. Old ladies can fall and they won't care (trust me, I've seen it on the news)

not sure about ps3, or wii but i got the xbox 360 , used it non stop for 3 months and have never turned it on since then LOLZ.

My computer beats the pants off of anything Sony release too. I don't brag about it, but for some strange reason, you do. :!: I'm posting because some people haven't seen or played the PS3 yet, and I wanted to give my opinion. If you want to give you opinion about your computer, please do so in another thread, not turn this one into who's computer beats the PS3. Alot of people don't like the PC as a gaming platform, and I thought it would be nice to let other people know what I thought about it.

I'm a Nintendo fan, but I can understand perfectly why people support the other two companys. I don't mind Microsoft and it's fans, and I don't mind Sony's fans, but I think I'll be one of those people who will do their best to ignore the PS3 entirely. I'd love to shout "'Coz the PS3 sucks!", but there's no way they'd let a finished game on a console lag that badly. It's probably just because it was one of those dust-clogged PS3s because it's been stuck in a container for too long.
