Yea. Be original with your textures. You can use inspiration and make textures that resemble the game. But enough of that as Teancum just said not to. I just wanted to make two statements and that's that.
So far, this project looks pretty good to me. Looks like it'll be sweet. Someone should really make those Mark II mining droids. I mean, using an SBD is fine and dandy, but it'd be cooler to use a custom-made player model... I dunno, just what you want. lol. But yea, very good luck with that! I'd love to play anything involving KotOR 2: Peragus. That was a very cool facility indeed.

Nice work!

Small update, school's kept me pretty busy of late.
I took some time to learn the very basics of XSI, and my first model was this T3-Unit model. This unit will go ingame on the miners' side, probably with a shock cannon and a blaster.
I only have the 4.2 ModTools, so anyone with the full version, I would sure like your help exporting to .msh and creating a basic (I can retexture once I have a texture-map) texture.
Any modelers out there looking for something to kill time with - we could sure use the help.

Looking at a source pic, you're right. Fixed:
And @ Razgriz: If it needs a lot of work, then say
what it needs.

It needs a longer nose/eye. The head should have a bit less height.
On the "chest" there need to be a tool, probably the shock cannon you plan to use.
A little antenna on the head, and the front edge of the corpus should be closer to the "legs"

This is the source picture I'm working from:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:T3M4-NEGD.jpg
And yes, there is a tool, but if you recall (if you've played KOTOR), T3's appendage/tool only came out when he was slicing a computer. I'm fairly certain I have the "eye" right on, and the antenna I feel would be unnoticable, so why complicate the model, right? Remember, this model will probably be around the height of a medical droid, if not shorter. I may add a blaster on the very top, if for no other reason so that it has a logical hardpoint for its weaponfire.
You may be right about the head height, though, I'll look at that.

Id rather worry more about the blaster than the tool. It should go right on his head

Is it just me, or is the whole corpus a bit too big ? Well, that doesn't matter. We can recognise the T3, and a good skin will help us to overlook any little mistakes.

I put the model on a diet, and voila! A whole new T3.
I wouldn't be posting the models if I didn't think they needed work, and making a model a little skinnier or fatter is hardly any work at all.
