Terrain problem

Post by Elmo »

I was working on a map, and wanted to increase the terrain size. I increased it, then the map was bigger, but in wire view. I tried changing the wire view back into solid view, but the map in the ZE sorta "disappears", as in you can't see any terrain -- only objects. I tried changing the terrain back to the original size but it's still in wire view. Help?

Wow Elmo, and I thought you were a pro modder

When you create new terrain, the new terrain doesn't have any textures and is therefore invisible. Go into ZE and click 'textures'. Now on the box on the right, click one of the blank availabe squares (it should be a greyish-white with a number on it). Now that its selected, go to the box on the left and click the 'browse' button under the word 'textures'. Go into your data_ABC/world1 folder and find the right TGA file of the texture you want to paint your terrain with (some of these may just be temporary textures as place holders until you finish the rest of your map). Now you have a paint brush that you can paint your invisible terrain with. Click and...wala! Terrain appears. Get a 100x100 brush and paint your entire map :)
