Windows Movie Maker is the free one that should come with your computer.

<--- This, WMM is actually pretty good, and has good user made addons if you take the time to look. Naysayers and Mac Fanatics like to bash it, but it does its job well, and can do high quality work in theright hands. You can give a novice the best editing software, but they can't make a master piece with it.

Windows Movie Maker is good, although you can use Video Explosion, but you have to buy it :(

Now for a video CAPTURING program, I recommend CamStudio. It's free, and it's a good program.

This is particularly true with the Vista version - the XP version is crash-happy, but the Vista version is definitely an upgrade (and one of the few things I prefer on the newer OS instead of XP).

I know this is slightly off topic, but is it possible to run the Vista version of WMM on XP?

I'm pretty sure the new WMM is an exclusive program for Vista. I don't think you can run it on XP unless you alter the files.

I don't reccomend it. It's laggy. Xfire is by far the best for in-game vids. But that's not the point of this topic, is it?

Yes, Vista WMM is very, very good.

The only thing I don't like about WMM is that there is only one slot for adding audio (Onless there is a way to add more?). Otherwise it's a very good program.

You could just layer the audio on top of each other in the same row, although this is very confusing.

Yes, this is problematic. Often I use Audacity to mix my audio beforehand.

You can have 2 audio lines in iMovie, and you can record the voice right from the mac, but other than that, WMM is much better.

Well see I have CamStudio and it's good for anything but games. I would recommend FRAPS it's the best I have found so far. X-Fir eis okay but can be extremely laggy.

Where can I access this program WMM?

Oh and thanks for all the replies no one replied for a long time and then all the sudden BAM LOL. :funny2:

Is there a place to download it?

EDIT: Okay I found it I did a system search and found it. My older brother made this computer for me and put the stuff in places other people wouldn't have.

Well I am making my first video for BF2 using Windows Movie Maker and so far it's going good. I found that WMM tends to freeze up alot though.
