Knife throwing?

Okay, this is just a thought that came into my mind and im not going to make it and i didnt know where this should go so i put it here.

After playing codmw2 and unlocking knife throw and then killing someone with it, i thought to my self. Is this possible in swbf2?

so thowing the knife then being able to pick it up again and throw it again

codmw is something with call of duty? (I don´t know :) )
Wouldn´t be this effect just like the lightsaber-throw??

Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Lightsaber throw doesn't work because it comes back to you. You could do something like Kit Fisto's Force Bubble where he 'throws' (it's using the forsh push animation) the bubble. You would of course need to change the bubble mesh, and the impact effect. It could probably be done - with some work.

When it comes down to it you're just looking at animations and projectiles. The knife couldn't flip in mid-air though.

Although you could make a blur-type thing (geonosis wings style) and make an explosion effect of the knife with a very long lifetime.

Back in the days of the Medieval Project, we made a throwable axe, and Skyhammer offered to make it twirl in midair for us.

But that's besides the point. Whatever hack you employ, you can't make it so that you have to pick up the knife again (unless you use a messy spawn-a-pickup hack).

Get the ewok arrows weapon.You know that they throw them,so just change the arrows msh whit some knife msh file(if you have).I think this will work :| :)

call me a noob (i am) but couldnt you just modify the lightsaber throw effects for the twirling, the ewok rocks for the trowing and then for the pickup you could spawn a custom ammo pack that looks like a knife but somehow only replenishes the knife ammo? explain why if you cant.

Basic game mechanics? You can't just throw lots of different weapons in one and expect them to work like that.
You dispense ammo cans with a "dispenser" weapon, which have to have a throwing speed, unlike the lightsaber which is different from this. Also, ammo cans will replenish all ammo AND if the knife thrower would find another ammo can he'd also get his knife back.
