Well its that time of year again, and id like to know if you guys would like to help me arrange a christmas in jinglin town match in honor of the holidays. Its been to long since anyones played this map multiplayer. So if i were to host a match, who's in?

I'm in, but as hinted in a few other posts, I still need to reinstall SWBF2. Maybe I'll do that this weekend.

would it be running all day? or all week. I guess I need the Christmas in jingle town map too
Once I get it, I'm in.

I've actually been thinking about hosting the map on Unification's dedicated server for a week or two closer to Christmastime (better pings for everyone! Yay!). Basically, yeah, I'm up for it.

Maybe, but I don't have that map and I'm at my mission limit.

Oh noes. It's a shame that mods can't be moved out and in of the addon folder at any time. :p

I don't know what it is, but sometimes this doesn't work, and the computer treats it like it was never moved. It happens randomly, and I don't want to get into it. You know Windows, it has a mind of its own.

Well then. In that case, there's a better way. Rename the addme.script file to anything. Like add4me.script.

If THAT doesn't work, then for some reason you have mods in your app data.

SWBF2 reads mods from Appdata before anywhere else, so if you have mods in there, it's recommended that you take them out and move them to your usual addon folder. It's common for mods sometimes to hide inside there, whether you moved them into your regular addon folder normally or simply munged a mod you're making.

And yeah, Windows has a mind of its own.

Yeah sometimes removing maps from either folder does nothing. I have at least two maps that I've supposedly deleted from my entire hard drive that are still loaded into the game as complete maps, although nothing's really there; if you try to play them (they're in that unlocalized format %ABC%) the game just crashes, but they still count towards the mission limit. The same thing randomly happens about half the time when I move maps away from wither folder, though not always, and I don't really want to mess with that too much.

Again, let's try just renaming the addme.script so it can't load the missions. :p

right so I just type in the search box : christmas in jinglin town ?

PARTY TODAY, 12:00 PM Eastern time! Not sure what the server name wil be, just scroll down the list and look for Christmas In Jinglin Town!

I might get on, we'll see.
