What are .option files and what do they do? [Solved]

Some quick questions about .options.
1)What exactly is a .option?
2)What does a .option do?
3)What is the difference between a msh.option and an odf.option (e.g. what should both files look like when oppened?)
4)What are the purposes of both .options?

I once asked about resizing a weapon, and was told to give it a .option, but after checking the .options I could find, that wasn’t really helpful info.

Dot-option files are files that make small changes to a specific file (either .tga or .msh - there's no such thing as an .odf.option) during the munge (i.e. they will only be visible ingame). You can read about them and what they do in the documentation given to you with the modtools (misc_documentation.doc).

Thanks for the info.

And I must admit, I didn't really know there were such things as odf.options. I just included it incase there really was, and there for would receive the information that I would have other wise missed.

Edit: I searched each of the files contained in the "documentation" folder, and found some references to .options, but no guide on how they should be used. I'm looking more for a list of .options and what they can be used for. I assume I need to be more specific that making a .option that says "make the msh sorta' bigger than it already is."
