They JUST announced Win7 SP1 (Clicky), and they're already talking about 8?

They were thinking about Battlefront 4 before 3 was released (or finished, or made). I hope Win8 is good.

Yeah, Win8 sounds good, I didn't like Vista or Win7, but Win8 sounds good. :)

They have been talking about it since 7 came out. This is just the first information Microsoft confermed.

I just kinda wonder what new features it will have. I did hear a rumor that it will have 8 second startups, and a bran new BiOS to control it.

7 and XP aren't that bad... Though I would like to see a new filesystem that will let us use more than 2 tb per drive

Its called UEFI. Its similar to BIOS, but allows up to 2 Billion terabytes in one partition.

Microsoft is planning on basing Windows 8's build on a 128-bit infrastructure!

Uhh what? According to Wikipedia there are no 128-bit processors available yet. Also, there's a bunch of 32-bit computers out there still in use and going to a brand new architecture already seems kind of extreme. :?

Not at the moment there aren't, but I'm sure they're being worked on. Windows 8 isn't supposed to be released until 2012 or 2013 or something like that.

I'm sure Microsoft will add support for 64-bit and most likely 32-bit.
