Yep check the "everything you need to know thread"

http://www.gametoast.com/index.php?name ... pic&t=3497

You'll need to look at how to use the localize tool for name changes and there's a bit about skinning and loads more. Capes and stuff are added etc using ClothODF in the ODF but it requires points to attach it to. To clarify are you asking if it's possible to attach Dooku's cape to a magnaguard? To give him the saber then change the WeaponName in the ODF. Hope that helps :)

thx

ill help you out. localizing really isnt that hard. if you follow the format of other weapons it will work fine.

is rep_weap_inf_wrist_plasma 1) working ingame and 2) in the republic sides folder?

okay run editlocalize.bat found in data_modid

go down to weapons, open it up, go to rep, weap, then make a new key in weap (right click weap, then click new key) and name the key inf_wrist_plasma

Click on inf_wrist_plasma, and go into the white box on the left. The first one should have something like weapons.rep.weap.inf wrist plasma, and the second should say Comments. Put whatever name you want into the first box.

Save and exit. When saving, it may seem like its locked up, its not. Just wait for a window to pop up saying its saved. Click okay, and quit the program.

Then go into _BUILD and run ModtoolsVisualMunge. BEFORE YOU CLICK MUNGE, be sure to check the Localize box.

Did you checked the localize box before munging (so select localize and not only common)
If you did that then maybe you need to localize in uk_english too.

Wow. Have you edited the localize cfg files manually? And have you edited any of the .req files, such as the core.req?

Make sure you dont touch them, only use editlocalize.bat

Run ModtoolsVisualMunge, and click select all, then clean. Then click munge. It will take a while to do this, but hopefully it will fix the problem.

if not, you may have to make a new mod folder and copy things over.
