As many have heard me whine about sbd's and their incredible non canon ness in swbf2 making them un-fun, Many will ow hear me whine about the dark trooper and their incredible non canonness in swbf2 making them un-fun.
The Dark Trooper First of all, is not a slim handsome young thang like he is in swbf. Hes a quite bulky handsome medium/youginsh thang. Now, you should know, that I'm talking about the phase II darktrooper, which is what the swbf darktrooper looks closest to. It doesn't have an annoying arc caster, it has "a jetpack and an assault cannon fixed to its right hand capable of firing 400 plasma shells and 20 missiles without reloading." - wookiepedia. And it's armor's not really that weak.

In my GCW balance plan, the rebels would have the Wookie Warrior as a low-power special unit, the Bothan Spy (now equipped with secondary-weapon stealth) as a medium power special unit, and the Rebel Commando (equipped with a blaster rifle, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, fusion cutter, and thermal detonators), along with a small regenerating shield and a vacuum sealed suit as a high-power special unit.[RDH]Zerted wrote:So what would the Rebels have to counter it? The ability to 'convert' units to their side? I don't know how to do that to a single unit.
The Imperials would have the Imperial Officer as a low-power special unit, the Emperor's Guard (equipped with an lightsaber-power melee staff and neuropoison) as a medium-power special unit, and the Dark Trooper (with a fast-cooling chaingun and 20 laser-guided missiles) along with vacuum immunity since they're a droid as a high-power special unit.
Think I thought too much about this? Wait till you see my entire Battlefront III design suggestion (still in the works)...
