Wow, by the looks of it, it even plays like a Warthog.
Nice work!

Still needs a texture (which shouldn't take too long to make), and possibly some new takeoff/landing anims.

Thanks FOOLIS

It is my Agen Kolar

The dreads are going to be animated, just as the wookiee's! The horns are 3d, but will be improved. I dunno how i remove those black stripes; they're poly's with blue edges which won't go away! If someone know how to do this, help is welcome:

I know, it still needs 2 more horns, but you can't see the small ones in this pic, and the large ones should be bigger indeed, but thanks for the comment!

Further update on moving treads and wheels. Here is another super high quality video

this time just with the tires to show that the sides of the wheels can move (and look decent) as well as the treads. By the way for those not up on their Aurabesh it says Goodyear on the tire. Oh once again I appologize for the quality and camera work but it is hard to follow a vehicle you're driving while in freecam.

@Challenger33: Watch the excessive MeshSmoothing, looks awesome though!
@MandeRek: Very nice, if you can get those missing polies filled in, that'd look awesome.
@FragMe: If I make a Armoured Personnel Carrier or an armoured truck for my project, will you be willing to make the wheels and stuff working right?
The buggy looks awesome, I'm loving it! Must be fun to play in.

FragMe! wrote:Here is something that came about while learning how to do moving treads, thanks again to Acemastermind for the tips.
The treads do move both tops and sides so it does look like the wheels are indeed turning, also learned about how to put turrets on models and have them move. Hopefully out of this I can update or add to the tread tutorial that already exists.
Oh and forgive the texture only the wheels are in their final format the rest is a WIP.
Anyway here are a couple of pics, one from XSI and one in game.
And a ingame movie, still not the best quality but you may be able to see the treads move if you look close. The first part is from the drivers point (set back may play around with that or make a first person view model) the second part is from the rumble seat.

At first look i thought its from unreal tournament 2004! forgot the name of the vehicle

It is a riot to drive, I just go bombing around my test map jumping the hills I put in only going back and running over droids when they take over too many command posts.
What project would that be

Could give it a shot or I could let you know how to do it, it's not too hard just a bit of putzing with the UV mapping and of course having a good texture. When you make the model do not merge the wheels into the rest of the model they need to be separate. We can chat more on X-fire or PM.
I still plan on doing an easy to follow tutorial

for experienced XSI users as you need to know what you are doing in XSI for some of it.

Looking good
@MandeRek use whatever "Polygon Islands" are. You'll have to look it up. That will allow you to select all of the polygons that are connected. That is the shadow volume inside your model. If you use the polygon islands, (because they are all connected), you should be able to select and delete all of the shadow volume.
Ok, I need some feedback, is this any good?

EDIT: A wireframe view
Train said I definitely need to get a new helmet
I'm still tweaking the body proportions, as they don't appear right yet.

It looks great!
Off-Topic: I'm not skilled in XSI terms, maybe someone else knows... I've searched a lot, maybe someone can tell where it is, or just say the hotkey...

Just keep tweaking it so you get rid of the right angles in it. The less right angles it has, the better it'll look.

Indeed, not bad at all. The shape of the neck is wrong though... If you need referance pictures, there's some good ones in the wookieepedia article on Ithorians. Or just google image

The neck should be more curved ( I mean less thick in the middle, looking at the front view), but the side view is all wrong

You'll see what I mean on wookieepedia.
Other than the neck it's pretty good! keep it up!

I love ithorians, good to see them in SWBF2
