This topic is nothing special -- just someplace to post small things about games where you don't feel like making a dedicated topic.
Adventure #1
My 360 is starting to have disc read errors. It's out of MS warranty by 3 months, but luckily I bought the extended warranty where I bought it. They're giving me a credit for the amount I originally paid to upgrade to an Elite system, as that and the Arcade are the only new 360s sold anymore. Just waiting on the HDD transfer cable to come in the mail before I do.
Adventure #2
Batman: Arkham Asylum is easily my favorite game this year. Everything about this game is awesome. The graphics, the voice acting, the story, the use of Batman's gadgets, the combat, the villains and how their specific boss battles play out ---- EVERYTHING! If you haven't yet, you should give this one a try. Borrowed it for PC and beat it inside of three weeks, all Riddler's clues and all. 9.9999999/10
Adventure #3
Fallout 3............................................... Oh, I'm sorry, I must have fallen asleep from having to WALK FOR MILES! Everyone raved about this game, but I found it to be mediocre. The difficulty was much too high, with anything but the roaches being a challenge. The having to walk everywhere the first time was incredibly annoying, and mutant/ghoul/monster characters landed just on the wrong side of creepy too many times. Plus I hated the gore. It just didn't fit for me. It's an RPG at heart, and all the gore just made it feel like a cheap FPS. I wish I could have turned it off. I watched some YouTube vids with Liberty Prime, cuz that's what I really wanted to see more than anything else. He looks like he's awesome. It's a shame I couldn't just cheat and get to Broken Steel. I downloaded this mod that put a trailer in the game that had everything you'd ever want, plus things that would level you up and whatnot -- I beefed up to level 22, went out and played, and still it wasn't fun. As a last ditch effort, I went to the crashed alien ship to climb aboard Mothership Zeta, but that was a snoozer too. Thank goodness I only borrowed this. I uninstalled it this morning and won't ever look back. Major disappointment. 6.5/10
Adventure #4
Bought LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga used on Black Friday, and love it (played most of the other LEGO games, including the two separate Star Wars ones). Got a second copy from a co-worker for Christmas, and so returned my original copy to GameStop (they were the only ones that had it used). They wouldn't give me $$ back, but I could get that as credit toward any other game, so I picked up Burnout Paradise for an even trade. Not bad.

Hm, this is a good topic idea.
I totally agree with Adventure 3 - a ton of my friends are constantly talking about Fallout 3, while, when I played it, I didn't really enjoy it. Same story with Borderlands - though the co-op with Borderlands made it a lot more fun. I mean, I'd never, ever, ever play Borderlands if it weren't for the co-op. Maybe I'm just not into RPG/FPS mixes so much.
Maybe if they had co-op in Fallout 3 I'd have more fun with it.

Played Lego Indiana Jones? It's fun, currently I've found 3 of the 5 Star Wars characters hidden amongst the levels.
...As for something I
plan on doing in the near future, I'm going to make a Empire: Total War battle trying to replicate the Charge of the Light Brigade, based on the poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. I'll try to get a YouTube video up as soon as possible.

I recently got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex for the Wii, and have a few things to say about it.
There are many more gamemodes, challenges, maps, and weapon options than World at War, making it instantly better than WaW, but bullet speed is horrid. In WaW it was standable, but now you have to lead bullets more than an arrow shaft (in my opinion at least).
Still, fun game, great campaign, and well worth the money.

Oh, I got quite a few involving some Sherlock Holmes games I've been playing.

What made these games fun is that not only Holmes was playable, but so was Watson. The puzzles were also entertaining.
Adventure #1
-Tried to install Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Mummy on my computer. Some graphics issue caused it to be unplayable, which made me lose my cool. I still don't know what's causing the issue.
Adventure #2
Played Sherlock Holmes and the Secret of the Silver Earring. Great plotline and whatnot, but the it was hard to see minute details, which could be important clues, or something that lets you proceed through the game. Annoyed the h--- out of me. There's also one point where you have to run through a forest, which is more like a maze, and it's even more frustrating made by the fact that the camera angle changes evertime you proceed to different parts. I don't feel like I wasted my time, but the game could've been better.
Adventure #3
Played Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. Basically a crossover between Sherlock and Cthulu. I will tell you this much: the game is not for the squeamish. There's a scene where a dead body literally loses it's head. The amount of blood wasn't too high or too low, but alot of parts were uneccesarily grisly. On the good side, graphics were well-done, the puzzles were difficult, but that's what made it fun. My favorite part is where you end up sneaking around in an asylum trying to get info on the Cthulu cult, as you end wreaking havoc throughout the place. Another funny part is a wild goose chase you go on through New Orleans. I was laughing the whole time I did the sequence.
I'll post more later. I had quite fun playing as the famous detective, as you can obviously tell.

Well, of course you'll be scared right out of your mind! It's a Lovecraft story in motion picture!
In any case, My new computer can play BFII at all the highest settings! Even on Kashyyyk! Even in the lowest settings on my laptop, the map would lag greatly! Also, I can play Battle Field 2124 now! It's pretty fun, though I'm I having trouble playing online, but that's not the case with BFII! Won my first BFII online match. It was so fun!

You encounter the cult and see giant tentacles, but not Cthulhu himself, unfortunately. Nevertheless, it's still enough to give Dr. Watson nightmares

. I should also mention you're going to need alot of patience for the puzzles, something I had a hard time doing.

Ummmm... The only avencher I have is Forza Motorsport 3. The game's been out too long to deserve a topic, but still. This is without a doubt the best racing game I've ever played/ I've played Gran Turismo at a friend's house, and it bored me. NFS:S was terrible IMO. I played that, too. But Forza 3... It's amazing.
-Over 400 of some of the best-known cars, like the Mustang, Porsche 911, Camaro, and so on, as well as some of the most fabled cars nowadays, like the Enzo Ferrarri, Lamborghini Reventon, and the Bugatti Veyron.
-It's extremely realistic and its difficulty can be changed to fit almost anyone's skill level. The cars have realistic driving capabilities comparable to real life (ie: Veyron is the fastest car in teh game, like it's the fastest production car in real life) and the graphics are extremely real.
-They paid attention to the smallest details, down to the working fuel gages.
-The cockpit view is actually usable, and I actually can only play in the cockpit view now.
-The painter is extremely good, up to 1000 layers per section of the car, 500 on some parts, and there are 6 sections, so you can have about 5000 layers on your car.
-Auctioning cars is useful, and you can get great cars on the storefront.
I'd give it a 9.7/10. Too bad it's 360-exclusive.

adventure 1 : Dragon Age : Origins - rpg 1 player
A great rpg in the character building sense but if you are bored easily by movies and "choose your own adventure" texts its not for everyone. If you have played kotor or baldurs gate..this title is similar but with top notch acting, voice, music and imagery. the story and character interest is most compelling while battles and exploring can be repetitive and bla after the 50th "attack". the varying classes and races are limited but engaging with many ways to lead your adventure. If you get it on discount or try a friends install , this is a good title. 88/100
adventure #2 : Crayon Physics Deluxe - casual 1 player
An interesting little game from steam that allows you to draw with crayons to complete a minor to major skill puzzle in an easy , mellow environment. excellent ambient music and great new concept of using physics to move an character around a screen , to get to end locations. A cheap , endlesslessy fun adventure that includes an editor to make your own great puzzles. 80/100 - the highest I'd give any puzzle/mover game.
adventure #3 : Operations Flashpoint Dragon Rising - 1st person war sim
A slightly laggy war sim (at least for my 1 gig ram video , 4 gigs system ram) , a narrowed down version of earlier releases but with less options. easy mode should be called "satanic" and any other skill options are just there for eye candy. this game is beyond hard , enemies spot you behind walls, thru moutaints ...so Im all set withi this...Ill go play their old versions that work and leave this "console style flashpoint" to the kiddies on riddlin. 69/100 - its just semi ok.
adventure #4 : Left 4 Dead 2
My Co-op paradise , its routine, weve all seen it before and everyone is playing it but its just the best thing in "hit the ground running team shootage". I prefer playing with people I know and its with a slight turn torwards the new realism setting, no highlights, no heals, targeting changes damage and such. I like to get into my role in the group playing as coach, running out and aggro'ing the undead and pulling them back for prompt slaying by my waiting evil team members. The new sounds, maps, weapons and lengthy load times are the 1st things that come to mind. Either way my $39 on steam was well spent. I bought this on xbox 360 for the same reasons but its better for social settings and partying with gore! For me 93/100! My must for hours of slaying

Actually i play it again due to a Riddle that i missed while escaping out of the Bat Cave. Its a Riddle that is located at at the 2 Spires (Island) ,where you need to glide through.Im not able to reach this Area again after i have beaten the SP Campaign.Thats annoying.
3 third Person Action Adventure #1
Uncharted2 - Among Thieves
Dont want to review it.But its the best Game of 2009.
Story + Graphic+Gameplay+MP Co-op. Everything is great about it.
A Must have for every PS3 Gamer.
Action Adventure #2
Assassins Creed.II
Besides of Uncharted 2 this is for me the Best Game this Year
Nothing is boring and everything is awesome.Thats the first Game that i have beaten to a Platinum Trophy.I never was annyoyed while playing it.

IDK if you knew this but almost every major character in that game was voiced by their voice actor from Batman the Animated Series, that right there = epic win for me. Plus the gameplay was so freakin' cool!

Last two Sherlock adventures:
Adventure #4
This game was "Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper". Ironically, the game with Cthulhu was gorier than this game. What happens is Sherlock and Watson start to investigate the murders in Whitechapel, and eventually find out who Jack the Ripper is. This game was easy, but in a fun way. The puzzles weren't too difficult or too hard. You will also examine the bodies of the victims of the Ripper killings (with the exception of the last one; Holmes makes a clay figure of the body). The bodies you investigate, however, are drawn semi-cartoon style, which I'm not going to blame the developers for, seeing how brutal the killings were in real life. This was my favorite game out of the entire series, and I'd recommend it, even if puzzles aren't your style.
Adventure #5
The last Sherlock game I played, called Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis in the U.S., but Sherlock Holmes vs. Arsene Lupin in Europe, this game is a crossover with (you guessed it) Arsene Lupin and Sherlock. Lupin, a cat/gentleman thief, challenges Holmes to stop him from stealing 5 things precious to Britain. The environments were extremely detailed and fun to walk through, and locales like the Tower of London can be visited. It also references events from other Sherlock games, especially The Awakened. The puzzles were difficult, but luckily hints are given throughout the game. Problem is, Lupin leaves behind the hints in the form of poetry. I got tired of reading poetry throughout the whole game. This is the most immersive and realistic game in the series, though you're going to need patience to get through the puzzles.

Adventure: BF2
Yeah I know cliche, and irony to focus on the game we are modding, but this was just interesting. A pic says a thousand words.
And if those don't help, pay attention to the red circles.
Almost 2:1 with the enemy, yet, captured all their command posts, killed the survivors, and waited the 20 secs to insta-victory.
Yeah I used Darth Vader, and yes it was easier cus of him, but hey, you got what you got.(and this hasn't happened to me in awhile

)

I only have time for one, but Killing Floor. It's sort of like L4D, zombies, coop, loads of guns... you get the idea. Anyway, it's a surprisingly fun party game. 6 player coop is great, and it doesn't require almost any skills at the lower difficulty levels (Perfect for when you're half asleep and don't feel like doing anything stressful) Oh, and there's more! It's also an RPG! Yep, you can pick specific "Perks" which you can level up to get better / more abilities. Great game, and pretty recently released too.
Oh, and I suppose I have time to do one more.
Team Fortress 2. The end.

For mods, I'd recommend just moving on to Jedi Academy. You have a lot more to work with. The only thing JO has to offer that JA doesn't is the story.
