Ahh, the bass idea is very nice! That would be quite efficient.. now we just need a bass drummer XD

You don't really need a bass drummer (or bass guitar, which is what I was actually thinking of), you can just make a beat track for everyone to play off of if you don't have a true bass part.

A "bit" of piano? I don't know about you, but to me, 8 years of playing piano is a little more than "a bit"

Lol don't know why I wrote that.
And yes, we should use maveritchell's method.

Yeah, definitely.
I hope to get the CD of my band's performance soon, so I'll be able to post the .mp3 of the song we wrote. Maybe we could implement parts of it.

*Appears out of thin air* (been a while since I've posted, eh?)
I'm a pretty good percussionist. I mostly do orchestral and marching stuff (I'm really working my but off on learning the whole xylophone/marimba thing right now) but I can hold my own on a drum set too.
Oh, I also play a bit of piano, but I'm sure the several other people who have already posted that are better than me.
And to whoever posted that cello quartet music: That's totally kick-[diet dr. pepper]. Seriously. Good luck!

Hey, that's cool! although it is simple. I would go with
Finale Notepad though. It is capable of playbacks too and it uses standard notation. And more.

Yeah, Finale Notepad is excellent. I used it to compose two songs for my band so far, one of which I'll be playing with them at graduation. It's very convenient.
