Also, I just caught another shiny. Graveler in Victory Road. I used a Master Ball as I know they love to use Explosion on me when I'm training there. They definitely improved the shiny rate.

I found a shiny Bellsprout on in a horde on Route 14 while searching for rain to evolve Sligoo (I actually didn't end up finding rain until two days later, and of course NOW it's raining everywhere I go).

The Bellsprout has a +Atk nature and Chlorophyll so it could potentially have some use as a physical sun sweeper. Haven't checked out its IVs yet.

Also, Xavious, you have to get a picture of it when it becomes Victreebel. I've heard it actually got a bit of a color change from previous games. That's good though, the only thing it had back then was a blue mouth.

Ugh, I want a shiny Dragonair so much. I've gotten a shiny Druddigon and shiny Dragalge (and a shiny Illumise, but he's no dragon), but I can't get that Dragonair.

I was up at 5 am for some reason doing the fishing method to get a shiny Magikarp. The chain got to 25 and then I reeled in too slow. This method is easy for everyone but me.

Did you make sure to talk to the guys at the Fishing Shack first (and have them give you the Dive Balls)? Anecdotal only, but I was never able to ping success until after I triggered that.

Yeah I did that earlier this week when I tried chaining Skrelp, he gave me the Dive Balls and everything. It's just my luck, I always get the random shinies but the second I start going for the actual methods, nothing shows up.

I decided to try chain fishing, and got a shiny Basculin on my second cast. It's not all that interesting though, just a slightly different shade of green. But still, only a week and a half into Gen 6 and I already caught 2 shinies? Not bad.

Diggersby? Blegh. That's probably my least favorite Pokémon introduced in this generation.

Anyway, I'm looking to get some starters. Right now I'm going after Chespin. Is anyone up for a trade? I can offer any Kanto starter, one of the fossil Pokémon, or a Froakie/Fennekin.

EDIT: Trade completed; thanks DeathRow! I'm still interested in any Hoenn or Johto starters.

You can't get the Johto->Unova starters until December, they have to be imported through Pokemon Bank.

I do wonder how they're going to give out the Unova Hidden Ability Starters, though. There are Contrary Serperior in the Battle Maison but there's no way for us to currently get them.
