GCW Overview:

A map taking place in a Kashyyk like atmosphere in the middle of the night. Imperial troops attempt to storm the Rebels beach and takeover their territor. It has a series of Anti aircraft turrets surrounding the cps as well as a Wookie Village, with rocks, trees, and grasses spread across the landstrips which have water inbetween. This map consists of a new sides setup, with new skins, units, weapons and tons of new effects for each weapon.

CW Overview:

Cw is a droid assault round, consisting of R4 droids battling the R2 Droids. Each Droid Unit has a different skin also, as well as a different weapon.

Hey, maybe CW won't crash this time! BTW, Elfie, this is a great map, so I'll get moar feedback as soon as possible. BTW, do the locals work now?
EDIT: Oh. Dangit, CW still crashes and GCW is really laggy. I would recommend less grass. My view distance is very, very low (13) and my LOD distance is also low (25) so I am at a major disadvantage and it's still very laggy. Not only that, but THAT MUCH grass sorta kills the stmosphere sometimes. And BTW, if the rebels capture the village CP, it's pretty much all over for the imps. It's to close to the imperial cps. I have to remove it from my addon because I can't have really laggy maps in it or else I'm wasting space. Sorry.

*A Great number of the Kashyyyk huts float midair
*Half the AI get caught on the Kashyyyk barriers
*The Imp AI look like they WANT to drowned
*The mine effect screams, "I'm a mine! Don't step on me!"

Thanks for the feedback, both of you! I will try and fix the mines, definetly as well as the huts. The drowning.... well i don't know what to do about that. The rest I can and will fix.

haha i was a beta tester too, but i forgot to give feedback lol. so ill give it to ya know (sorry for very late feedback elfie, been really busy latley)
so....basically everything that culvar said. personally, i think the dark lighting and dark skins dont really match, a little bit hard to see the units. other than that i didnt notice that much...(btw i love the mine effect) so overall great job elfie! (again sorry for late and unhelpful feedback)

Ya but I don't think you gave me feedback did you? if you did I will add you in.
@Obiboba - It's fine don't worry about it at all. I have been busy also.
@All - I am definetly changing the mine effect, and I found another localization bug also, so I will change those two things. Then It will be released when I have time and when I feel the map is good enough.

Elfie, is it possible to change the water texture depending on the setting? The water just looks horrible on low, (it looks like a glowing blue) which is the only setting my game can handle. Can you also get rid of some of the grass and maybe move the village over so, 'cuzreally, it's too strategically placed for the rebels.

I'm not sure about the texture thing. What Computer are you using? I use Windows XP DELL and it runs very smoothly with battlefront. Try lowering the Screen Resolution to 800x600 or something lower like that. I know removing the grass will help decrease the laggyness for you, but to tell you the truth, I don't think you will like it without the grass because it looks very empty without it. It really needs the foliage, anyway that is just my opinion. I guess I could move the village over if you think it is one sided, but it really is just as close to a rebel CP as it is to an imp CP, the Imp one i think is actually closer, because you just cross over the water and it is there, it takes two seconds to walk to. Anyway, that is what I think. I will take your suggestions under consideration of course.

Well, elfie, you could use Bandu's palm trees instead, and the grass problem is just that there are mass amounts in small ares, making my game lag horribly. And the problem with the CP being so close is just that. It's too close, and if the rebels manage to capture it, the imps are dead because then that's the only place that the rebels spawn from. The imps literally can not get past.

I was playing as the droids (CW) with nearly all my stats at legendary, and when I scrolled to the award weapon the game crashed. Also, I would give the droids a jetpack effect (they might, and I might have missed it because I scrolled while flying, but I still didn't notice an effect). I'll post more later if I find anything. Oh, and I would like to complement you on the underwater ground texture, it works well.

Thanks! :). I would have originally added droid jetpack effects, but when I tried the game crashed. And the droid award weapons, it is because they have none, is why it crashed. I didn't expect it would crash, just not switch to the award weapon. The CW mode is slightly buggy in general, just because I had to completley redo the droid sides multiple times, because I screwed up the custom sides and .req file.
Progress on this may be slow, just because of school. I'll let you know when the full release is ready.

Ummm....why am I in the credits?

PS. Won't download this sorry, as I've got a pretty small DL limit and get heaps of lag from lots of maps, especially ones with grass (grrr stupid videocard grrr). Looks good though.

I've got a nice R2 unit with jetpack effect and cool weapons if you want, but you could probably add that in easy enough. The reason the map crashed when I went to award weapons, is because the weapons themselves still have listed the number of points to unlock the award weapons. Anyway, I've just loaded up your map and will give you a more complete reveiew.

Is that an okay thanks to artoo or the review. Anyway with the review, I noticed several floating objects, which I took pics of, so I'll post those some time. Leia still looks a bit stretched (you might be able to shrink the skeleton), when you zoom in with the wookies sniper bowcaster, the reticule goes up to the top of the screen. Also, if you could modify Obi's beard that would be good, it just looked a bit green, but that might just be me. Anyway, it looked nice, and I'll post anything else I find. Good work with this! :thumbs:
