what are flyer splines?
As for the wings , it depends on what reference you go off. The references i was goin off are from theforce.net if i remember correctly.

thats what i was using.
perhaps your right, but i did kind of like the wings more vertical.
but its still a beast peice of modelling to accompany youre other beast models.
so its all good.
flyer splines are basically the space version of planning and how you tell your ai where to go from what i understand. its got a doc in the documentation. that was an empty suggestion based of a whim but hell it could be that youre ai dont know to use it.
my advice would be to look into the odf, specifically the class of the vehicle, and look into the lua as a clear difference between space and ground maps is conquest version lua v assault version lua. (maybe do some comparing of aforementioned docs)
i dont know how you make these models like crazy. i do wish i could model because it really opens like i dont know really big doors to what you can do with your maps..
well currently im just stoked on the release of this drawing nearer

The E wing can counter 1. But who says the rebs have to have the same amount of different ships as the imps? I think it would be more realistic anyway , if the imps had more choice . As long as the ships are balanced I dont see it as a big problem.

i wouldnt even worry about balancing ships because realistically making something in space unbalanced is extremely difficult in bf2.
even with many weapons and speed the tie defender is still weak and a vunurable target (pardon my spelling)
the only really unbalanced vehicle is the v-wing. well actually its only unbalanced when ai takes control...its manuevers seem to be cut short in ai, so it just will all the sudden be going another direction.
Edit: meh my reference pic is a sketch, Bandu your probably right.
but i stand by what i said i kinda like the wings more vertically angled. seems more useable.
also i mean the rebels have many vehicles:
e-wing
v-wing (talkin rogue squadron)
k-wing
for ideas perhaps google search (alphabet) + wing

The wings look exactly the same. I figure do it how ever you wish Bandu
As for my question before. I suppose your right. Realistically the rebals would be at a disadvantage (at least look it)
And it really comes down to skill in BF2.

I've seen more sources with the cross wings than the other so I'd go with that one, in the end though it's your choice.

man i always thought that all the EU concept ships where just butt ugly craft and could never see why people liked them

ill take the b-wing or z-95 anyday over the k-wing or e-wing, theyre like ships only thier mother could love.

It would look second best of the TIE series if it wasnt that the game it was in was made now.
They made Rebl Assault II before analogs where made, thats ancient!
Anywho, the defender looks awsome, good adition to the game. Cant wait till -_- makes the ions for it so we can blast the rebels into oblivion! :twisted:

Once -_- has done the ion cannons it'l be released for mappers .... youd have to ask the mappers that question

Oh and BTW , there is NO RELEASE DATE. I dont want -_- rushing or feeling under pressure . He's done when he's done

hey bandu, a great level for the tie defender would be Corvis Minor. It was where they were produced. Maybe you'd be intent on doing it!
