This is actually why we should build a reserve: a building where people can drop unwanted stuff. Got too much cobble? Drop it off, let someone else have it, possibly for repurposing as clean stone. I think Null is working on an undercity under Gametoastia, so maybe I'll monopolize and set up a garden/reserve there when I finish my complex under the current undercity.

Then we should have a drop-off system where a water pathway brings items down to a collection pool so that you don't always have to go down to the reserve to drop off items.
Have several drop-off stations around town.

Items despawn. If they didn't, that'd be a clever way to make a store. Just drop an item, which activates a pressure plate and give you your item. The owner later picks up the item dropped.

The problem with that Dohnutt is the items despawn after a while. So without someone always there to put the incoming items in a chest, they will go to waste.

BTW, TW, some of the signs in the sign shop don't work. I don't know if you knew that, but I thought I'd bring it up.

I actually JUST finished it, so you should be able to buy everything now. Now I just need to add a MUCH smaller selling section...

Hey! I need some ideas for the Game Corner I'm making. I have the building made, I just need to fill it.

Basically, it's a place like Dave&Busters, with games, and entertainment, and the what-not.

What are some minigames/attractions that you guys would like to see?

It's up now. Using the Seed404World from the main server until Bukkit updates, as well, which shouldn't take as long as last time. On another note, Null was making a volcano for some sort of quest, apparently, and well, that volcano had a nether portal. We kept most of the volcano, but cleared out the small amount of lava in front of the portal. So we now have a working nether portal in multiplayer. It's west of the village, then a little south, just follow the torch path past the flower patch, you'll see it. But caution is advised. The ghasts won't drive you mad, anymore, but they still won't hesitate to kill you.

I put up a quick shelter to protect the portal and those coming through it, so don't worry about being on your guard the second you get through.

Also, maps are nice, but will be even nicer if Notch can make them placeable on walls like he said he wanted to. That way, we put them in the town center of each area and everyone gets an idea of what the surrounding area looks like.

i have an idea, make a Redstone torch flash and above it put a sign saying:

Light On:
Notch is cool
Light Off:
Notch isn't

I don't want to come off as whiny, but for some reason I get an "End of Stream" notice and a "Disconnected by Server Internal Error." Are these errors occurring on my end or yours. Thanks in advance.

On June 6th, I will be out of town on a cruise for our family vacation. I'll be gone for about a week. That means so will the server. If anyone (preferably with hosting experience and a good machine) would like to step up as temporary host, I can send the server files your way. Otherwise you guys will just have to be without a GT server for a while.

i would be more then happy to set it up for you.... which worlds are you refering to?

I updated the server to 1.6.6 this morning (found out I needed to last night, so sorry if I'm a little late), so you should be able to get on.

Next time, why don't we just not update the server and then be able to play with bukkit, on our main world?
People just couldn't update, that's all.
