Terrain Cut Objects + Props

I was wondering, could terrain cut objects, (I.E. "HOTH_bldg_hangar_entry") cut into props?
Say for instance I was making a space map and I wanted to put a hanger inside the "all_fly_moncalamari_DOME.odf." Could I place the "HOTH_bldg_hangar_entry.odf" right on the border of the ship and have it cut into the "all_fly_moncalamari_DOME.odf" ship.

I believe terrain cutters only affect terrain.

Yup... terrain only as far as I know. I've put other items (hallways, ships) inside the terrain cutter box. It doesn't affect it at all.
However, if you're looking to have a ship with a docking bay, there's probably 2-3 to convert from the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade project.

How could I convert them if they are in .exe format?
I would need the model file to possibly convert it.

You need the game. Sorry, forgot to mention that. It's quite cheap on eBay, though.

Actually I found a couple of models that were not in exe format.
But they were in OPT format, is there a converter that will convert the model to .MSH?

Yeah, look under links at xwaupgrade.com -- go to Darksaber's, then look under tools. That will get it to 3ds, from there you can use Milkshape to convert it to txt, then BConstructor to MSH. I posted a tutorial in the XSI --> SWBF tutorial.

The only thing is you can't use OPT23ds without having XWA installed.

I thought Softimage|XSI products could import *.OPT files... Would I be wrong ?
