This game looks like it will be a great fps/fpa for the wii. People have said that it's control scheme is the best yet for any console fps. Has anyone downloaded the Metroid Preview channel (its free) and watched the videos? I think the game looks pretty cool. It comes out on August 27-28 in the US.

You aren't the only person exited here. I'm definately going to get it.
This is propably the first FPS without a light gun to work well in the control department on a console, or at least the first one I know of.

And I wonder, will Metroid Prime 3 be better than that other Sci-fi FPS with three at the end that's coming out this September? Hmmm.

I actually haven't played any of the Metroid games but I may buy this if it's everything it's hyped up to be. I still only have two games for the Wii and I got it back in December.

I haven't played any of the other Metroid games either, But I have heard that they have gotten extremely good reviews. The only game I have for my wii right now is WiiSports and I got my wii last April. I have been waiting for Metroid and Smash Bros.

I've never liked the Prime Series, I liked it when the games were side-scrollers

I might try it out, I might be disappointed, I might throw the disk at my wall out of Frustration and play Metroid 4: Fusion for a month instead, you never know

This series of videos shows the first hour of gameplay. It looks pretty sweet.

I got Corruption. It is easily the best wii game that I have played, rivaling (and in my opinion surpassing) Zelda. The graphics are incredible for the wii, and the characters and story are well drawn out. The beginning of the game is fast paced, but after about an hour or two everything slows down a bit so you can begin exploring planets. It is like zelda in the aspect that you have to solve puzzles in rooms to unlock other rooms. The puzzles are fun to figure out. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a wii/is interested in this game.

Prime is amazing! Graphics, everything! But I'm stuck now. I was on Bryyo but got stuck because i don't have the grapple link. Which is on hte other planet. And there I'm having trouble with getting the Chazo to give the grapple link. Help?

Does Samus finally have real conversations with others? The MP2 conversations were poor at best.

Yes. Samus doesn't have VO's but you can go up to NPCs and have them say a line or two. And in cut scenes.

Despite not really getting into the first Metroid Prime, I am completely addicted to this one!! I love it.

Anyways, can you turn off the blood in MP3? Is it noticeable?

What blood? I haven't seen any. I think tony hawk games are the only games where you can turn off blood. Your parents shouldn't have a problem with Prime 3

It's rated T, and there's not much blood at all. You have to be almost looking for it to see it. Even then, the only blood you'll really see is when you freeze someone with an ice missile and then shoot them. (they explode!!! :twisted:)

Hm. Well, I'm gonna rent it at Bbuster and see it.
