Pretty much what I meant when I came in. But AQT did point out the author did want to have a somewhat 'realistic' Felucia sky. Personally, I don't think this should've became an argument in the first place, because a) Whatever Wulf says he wants in it goes. b) it was merely a harmless suggestion by someone that somehow became an argument about space science.

Also, seeing how Mav just posted a picture of Felucia at night where it shows no nebulae and Wulf saying he's gonna take it out because of those nice references, I trust this debate is concluded?

Here's to hoping Wulf keeps working as much as he can on it, while doing his best, and getting out a brilliant first version, which I will totally download as soon as it's available. :thumbs:

Holy Qui-gon's ghost! Those shots of Felucia at night are awesome. How have I not seen that episode? Or have I? I think there must've been a couple episodes I missed here and there.


QFT. Oh, those screens are from the next 2 episodes of TCW, the season 3 finale. I have no idea how mav came by them. But, I don't ponder, because it is Mav.



I am going to have some new screens and a video, not a trailer, but its still cool, soon. It will be an update.

Oh, I thought they were the one with the super flesh killing tank, and those "neutral" Creatures that roll into battle like droidikas...

Man, if my gaming computer were still up, I'd have volunteered to make a trailer. Dunno how soon I'll get my gaming computer back up (I can still play on this laptop, but I think Fraps and Sony Vegas would absolutely kill it), but when I do, I'd like to still volunteer to make one.

And, about the episodes, I agree, we shouldn't ponder....it's Mav. And we all here know not to question the all mighty Maveritchell. :D

PS- @AQT: That goes for you too regarding trailers. Possibly gonna make a trailer for all your Republic Commando maps. Possibly even ones in progress if that's fine when I get my gaming comp back up.

I could go on and on on what it can be called
I would LOVE the look of bioluminecence in plants and insects, it would really help with some lighting (in my point of view, anyways)

what would be cool is if your level is large enough, put some local felucian sides and a couple of tamed and wild rancors and aklays, and maybe even an enlarged sarlaac (just an idea)

And maybe for the entire game, make the sniper instead of having the squat position, have the prone position, and replace the first person view for running to look realistic (like in Battlefield or Call Of Duty)

I love the look of bio luminescent plants too, and I want them in my mod. The problem is, I cant have the plants glow during the night but not during the day. I did have one idea how to do it with lighting and setting the plants to glow with bioluminescence and not during the day.

Just a note, this this the stock felucia map, that is included in my mod. It is only really being edited to add random weather.

It cant be done. I tryed, I really did, you can even go back in this thread and find it, I tryed, it just doesnt work quite right.

I dont quite know what you mean, but that would require a new fp animation, which, afaik, has never been done before. I will talk to my team about it, but I need a reference as to what you are talking about.

on a side note. AgentSmith#38 (one of my mod team members) and I came up with an idea on how to do something that has never been done before. It works (kinda) and I am going to try to put in in all the stock maps minus a few minor ones.

so, which maps are the least important to you, of the stock one. This new thing is not really easy to add to stock maps without a brand new one. So, the more I can knock of the better.

Before answering can you say the idea? So I know like what maps it would work the best on ie not random units in space or stuff like that is not useful as much as on some maps.

I would refer to keep it a secret for now. I will tell you this. It fits with almost any map, it adds to the fun, and realisticality to the maps. I think any map would benefit from it. Really its just, what are your favorite stock maps, which do you hate.


Except space maps really, I don't see it working there.

All of them, but mostly Geonosis, Hoth, Coruscant, Tantive IV (which is over Tatooine at the time, as we all know), and Endor. Easy to please, I suppose....

Dislike/Hate:
None. But I do have to say Jabba's Palace is kind of (kind of) my least favorite because of the Gammoreans being annoying, but that's really the only drawback I see there....and if I fall into the rancor pit, well, that's my bad. But I like it, really, regardless. Though, it's really easy to be blown up in those tight spaces. :P

in all honesty, the only map that i cant stand would be jabba's palace, its just too confined and well, cruel...anyway all the other maps are fine (felucia can be tedius for snipers) but nothings as bad as jabba's palace.
